  1. I wasn't a fan either. Before INMusic 2018 i tried to listen to setlist songs, but didn't get the fuss about him, while everyone was so excited. But than 🙌, he is genius on stage. One of the best gigs i've been to, looking forward to 2022 to see him again.

  2. These are just the first names. 😉 Curious about which names you'd like to see. Hoping for Tyler the Creator, his last album is one of the best albums of the year and his recent shows (like his Lollapalooza set) look really great.

  11. After seeing nick cave perform at festivals since the late 90's I strongly disagree. I would class his Glastonbury 1998 sub headliner slot for pulp one my fave ever sets. But I'm on a losing discussion on this one. 😍

  14. The dates cancelled by Faith No More were only in September/October in the US. About 2 weeks after the announcement, they've been added to Graspop. Until now, I think they'll play in Europe next Summer. At least until any update from the band. And for the rest of the tour, I hope some more names soon too as I'm thinking about taking a combo ticket!

  15. Sufficient and convenient, a bit far (10-15 minutes walk?). As long as you're not too close to the party the noise should be toleratable but it's always good to have earplugs just in case. You have a small tent, that's good, try to locate it near the showers (so you can see your number coming up without standing for hours in the line) and preferably near the entrance (because the walk to the festival grounds is long enough anyway).

  22. If Ole gets sacked soon, maybe Man Utd could hire Bruce if they are looking for an ex player? Frank Lampard for newcastle manager would be hilarious if he gets them relegated.

  23. Dua has the best team in the business - she's not really established herself as a live or touring force yet so accepting Other headliner on an off cycle year, and then Pyramid headliner in a couple of years time after her next album, is a really nice move.

  24. This is not the lineup, this is a first namedrop. Kelly Lee Owens and Moses Sumney are the pearls for me, so far.

  25. Not my first back but saw MarthaGunn last night in Newcastle, really enjoyed it. It was small crowd in a small venue - the singer mentioned that they'd heard from people that had bought tickets and then got a cancellation email saying it was off - but everyone there seemed to enjoy it. I bought something off the merch table and the guy out of the band who was serving asked me out of curiosity how I'd heard of them and I said they had quite the following on efestivals and he was pleased with that!

  26. I really didn’t think there was a chance of a Tyler appearance but after the Roskilde announcement I have hope again now, great choice and I could totally see him on the current Saturday line up

  27. Ngl, I would be quite happy with this line-up. Dua and Tyler are great fresh headliners and their sets are always fun to watch. + loads of other interesting names in the undercard like AG Club, Grandson, Idles or Poppy. But obviously, if you're not into rap/pop music I guess this line-up can be disappointing for you.

  32. It's obvious it's not their choice. Why would they choose to do something that delays people getting inside? Some people really are short on brain power.

  35. Many of them make sense ^^ Ok my turn to play : Stromae / Marina Nick Cave / Placebo Calvin Harris / A$AP Rocky Lady Gaga (or Dua Lipa) / Lewis Capaldi Imagine Dragons / Stormzy Biffy Clyro / Major Lazer (snif.. 😢 ) +, I still think that a COLDPLAY big surprise is possible... Sziget HAS to have a big name, to "challenge" Glastonbury lol..

  36. I reckon a normal year for 2022 festivals, so mid January. I'm actually kinda pumped because I only need to do two more Oxfam ones next year to ensure I can qualify for priority through to 2029 with just one festival a year. So Glastonbury if I don't get regular tickets.

  37. Hot Chip are not going to win, nothing to see here. If you really like another band, downvote somebody other that Hot Chip. Hot Chip will not break your legs, nor put you down. They won't snap off your head either.

  41. Been a busy week! Already mentioned a couple on here, but both MarthaGunn and The Lathums were really good last week. Last Monday was MarthaGunn. They're one of those bands that sound pretty much the same live as they do on record. For some people that's not always a bonus, but for the style of music they play I thought it worked really well. Small venue but as Brighton's where they started out it was a nice homecoming show for them, and as I only caught part of their set at Beautiful Days it was great to see a full show. Was a last minute chance to see them so wasn't there in time for the support sadly. @Gilgamesh69 did you go see them in the end? Tuesday was The Lathums supported by The Stanleys. Never heard of them before but Stanleys are another Wigan band, part of this NW guitar revival that seems to be going on. Guitarist was straight out of the John Squire playbook, and singer was a blend of Tim Burgess and Ian Brown, but with a more powerful voice. Decent enough, but not going to rush to see them again. Lathums were bloody brilliant. They just looked so happy to be where they are, and you can see how made up they are to have that #1 album. Musically they're really tight, great singalong anthems and Alex's voice is spot on live, even on the high notes he hits. Top night. Last night was Red Rum Club supported by Hushtones. Hushtones are another band I'd never heard of, but really glad I made it in time to see them. 5 piece drea-psych-indie-pop type from Liverpool. Live they reminded me a bit of Echobelly, but with synths added in. Some really nice harmonies across the band and mixed female / male lead vocals that work really well. In terms of current bands they made me think of Hadda Be and maybe a bit of Jetstream Pony. Red Rum Club are just fantastic. Got a ticket as @Gnomicide has been beating the drum for them as a live act on here, and he's absolutely right. Just great fun live, big singalongs and loads of energy. Crowd were well into it, but not that well known in Brighton so was only a small venue. Will definitely be making a beeline for them anytime they're in the area again Slow Readers Club tonight and then I've got a week off! 😄

  46. Did your Dad do a similar thing to their partners or did he single your wife out? Without knowing how it is written it's tricky to give advice. I am generally an anything for an easy life kind of person. However I am also fiercely principled. Did your siblings have a similar relationship with your Dad to you as if they did you might want to try a more softly, softly approach. In that they will all recognise that what he did wasn't reasonable and that you want to ensure your wife is taken care of should the worst happen.
