  1. Thank you to everyone that sent love towards my groin previously. Delighted to say, I completed my first ever Marathon at the age of 49, and hated nearly every moment of it. My groin held up (thanks for the advice around not worrying about the 20 mile run @Superscally) Sadly, it was an old knee injury that flared up at the 18 mile mark, meaning I could only walk the last 8 miles. But walk the bastard thing I did. So a personal best was indeed set, and my body (and more importantly my mind) have now retired me from running anything over a half! The one thing that really actually made it worthwhile was being able to raise a decent amount of money for Shelter. Best of luck to everyone else that has runs coming up. I totally salute you and am in awe of those that do this often.

  4. Incredible. Let's not skip over how massive this is entirely aside from it being Billie Eilish. Glastonbury festival is back. After 18 months stuck in limbo going around in circles arguing about the Strokes and Pyramid exoduses, we're finally on the fucking countdown baby.

  9. Hi, usually when an artist come from the US or Australia, they spend 1 month -1 month and a half in Europe. Billie will headline Glaston ' Friday 24th June, so it seems very unlikely she'll be at Sziget.

  10. Well done! I walked the last 8 miles too. Turns out little training and nothing beyond 13 miles was stupid (I also shouldn’t have stopped at half way for a quick flapjack as I struggled to get going at all after) Did the half marathon in 2:02 and finished at 5:10 which tells a story 😂 Legs hate me right now!

  16. Thanks - you have just cheered me up no end. 😁 Just picked out around 25 acts in there that I would be all over. Billie replacing what was the dream for me (Taylor headlining on my first ever Glasto) had left me a bit deflated, but seeing that line-up has just reinforced what everyone on here keeps saying - "If you don't like an act, there is plenty more to see". It is so easy for everyone to focus on the big three headliners (which is perfectly understandable) but that line up you have predicted just illustrates perfectly why Glastonbury is so much more than that. All out of upvotes, but a big thumbs up from me 👍👍👍👍

  20. This website is fucking mental sometimes. If Arctic Monkeys are around with a new album they’d be one of the first acts Glastonbury would try to book to headline.

  26. Pretty generic answer, but Royal Blood. They've got the tunes to arguably headline, and they always put on a great show. Other Headline or subbing could be a shout?

  34. Indeed. All I want from a pyramid headliner is something bold and exciting, even if it’s something I don’t personally like. This ticks all the boxes for me - can’t wait.

  35. A band that comes to mind that took a few albums to get much attention is Pulp. His 'n' Hers was their fourth. They'd been around for over a decade before they broke through and got into the general public's knowledge and then got big, very quickly.

  36. Sickening isn't it, the greed and craving that some factions of society continue to display, fucking leaches the lot of them, no morals, standards or an ounce of believable human kindness and care between the lot of them.

  37. Feeling for you lot this weekend, on what would have been ticket day if the world hadn’t gone to shit. Hope you’re all feeling positive. Your resale will come in March, I think, and you’ll have lots of people here willing to help you all.

  38. The full experience is most definitely not spending every night at the Pyramid. Yes, there is nothing quite like seeing a massive act that you love on that stage. But the best times are often elsewhere.

  39. Why are you getting so defensive over someone personally thinking Billie Eilish is a downgrade from Taylor Swift? Who cares? Personally, Elton John would have been an upgrade over Macca. That doesn’t mean Macca is shite and that I’ve offended anyone who likes him.

  41. Billie will be a great headliner in my view, an exciting young artist who is constantly evolving and yet to reach her peak. Shame about the sound for her Other Stage set but I still enjoyed it. Not a nailed on must see for me, but I think there is a very good chance I will be there to see her if indeed she does get the Pyramid gig.

  42. I do think it's good to miss one for that reason. I've been every year since 2008 except 2016 (when we didn't get tickets). Up until then it was my absolute worst nightmare and I was inconsolable but missing a year made me realise life goes on and you can go back. I'm ticketless for 2022 and gutted about it, but I now have the experience of not going to know I'll be alright and do other things. That said I bloody wish I was going next year. Will probably try the resale, but feels so far away!
