Really enjoyed volunteering there last night and got to meet the main man again 😁3 points

This is for controversial takes, not those that require urgent medical attention. I'm assuming a brain tumour or other life threatening condition. Find someone you know and get them to make you confirm you know your own name, what day it is, how many fingers they're holding up. That kind of thing.3 points

I took my daughters 8 & 10 expecting to tolerate some pop music. I spent the evening alternating between both girls on my shoulders so they could see. We soon just back from the mixing desk (back then there was a big screen at the back of the desk) so the 'grounded' girl could still see the show. Being Sunday I was already knackered by then but was blown away by a fantastic performance from Beyonce. It changed my view of popular music and made great memories with my girls. We still talk about it today and they're a fair bit older!2 points

First time back in a club last night since Glitterbox at Printworks in March 2020. Suitably enough, it was Glitterbox again but at Ministry this time out. Man, I have missed the roar of the crowd when a banger drops. And last night there were plenty of them. So good to be back!2 points

Seeing as everyone said secret guests were gunna be neck deep, I bailed and watched someone else, found out it was mcfly and am so freakin gutted. That's my teens right there, but, I saw some awesome bands and had an amazing day 😁 Would definitely go solo again!1 point

I have publicly said the same.. whilst 2019 was probably one of my favourites, i was absolutely broken... Arthritic knees (left one in particular) have never really recovered. My wife has already said 2019 was her last. We have Bearded Theory for 2022 and that is a gentle stroll in comparison. However, last week NHS confirmed i am on the waiting list for knee replacement and when April comes around (if i am successfully bionic) i just know the adrenaline will be flowing as i get online for my daughters..... Elton John at Wembley stadium in the summer of 1975 was my first ever gig... Maybe Reg on the farm could be my last..??1 point

I mean honestly do u think she has the time or inclination to recruit the volunteers ? … that are being recruited by charities … I think her inbox might be a little full to be going through individual applications 😂1 point

Keep trying. I must have attempted about 50 transactions but #51 got me in for 3 standing tickets on a Saturday night....1 point

They have said one of the subs is actually headliner sized for Bearded but they have agreed to go 2nd on the bill, which is apparently why The Mission are billed as 'special guests' as they are big enough to sub. Confusing. I am still going for Idles. They tried to book them for 2020 but was on an exclusivity agreement with another festival that year.1 point

Even better. Pricing is day dependent it seems. Almost everyone is getting denied when trying to purchase and their codes are expiring. Haha1 point

Absolutely miraculous that we've managed to get through this. Very happy to be wrong on this! It shows it can be done next summer, hopefully from the normal time of late May. Biggest question is less if, and more when for next year, which is a better place to be in. Trying to cram everything in has been hard, out of our planned 11 days of live music we've missed 5 for medical reasons 😂. The last 3 including today for self isolation, rest an unrelated issue. Hopefully we are able to space it all out next summer! Just hope the industry gets through the winter, you'd expect shutdowns but hopefully nowhere near the levels of last time. I'd expect a few months off after Christmas again, but hopefully we make it to then. It'd be progress1 point

sorry about that - its a situation out of your control. I know you have been staying over with your Mother for most days of the week # every week # looking after her - A task that many would not do. My Parents ended up with Dementia but they were under the care of a Hospital and by that stage I doubt they could understand much. I know from your e-mails that your Mother has some ' Good Days ' and really its best to focus on those days. Just keep on doing what your doing.1 point

2 couples now have lockdown babies so dropped out and requested balance monies returned. The final couple have been invited to a wedding aboard the same weekend, they have yet to request the balance money back.1 point

This year’s festival has been moved to 2022 😞 Was all set to book it this weekend as well!1 point

I don't know any decent reviews or youtube videos but I can share my experience It's a very chill festival, the place is much bigger than the capacity so you can always just find a place to sit on a grass with your friends. Crowd wise it's all over the place, it's basically 75% Croats, 10% exYugoslavia, 15% from random European countries. Majority of people are 18-25 I'd say but with Nick Cave in the lineup I bet it's going to be a bit older crowd this time1 point
