We have just got back from the best few days! Worthy Farm was like a little slice of Glastonbury which was well welcome after not being there the last few years! Highlights included: - Joint charities field was great for all age children. - Walking around the site and working out where we were and being surprised at how small everything looks without the festival going on. - Goose Hall was a great addition. - Yoga in the Spike Bar in the morning felt special. - Meeting Micheal and getting my book signed. He was meant to be there from 4.30-5pm yesterday and the queue was moving at a snails pace. By 6pm we still hadn't quite reached the front and he was still meeting people. Once inside it was clear why things were taking so long. Micheal chatted our ears off... Wanted to know where we were from, introduce our kids and he was just lovely. - Painting a bin with my kids felt like an iconic Glastonbury moment. - Everyone was as friendly as ever - people wanted to chat and kids went off to play together. It was pretty magic. - The huge, beautiful, full moon and clear night sky on our last night. My only criticisms would be that all the kids activities that you pay a donation for were booked up immediately and the ones you pay more for didn't seem worth it (£8 for making a willow lantern for example) and the food choices were pretty average although we mostly had a bbq daily so didn't effect us. Overall, totally glad that we went! Lots of memories made and just can't wait to get back now!3 points

“Struggling to crack the US” is as poor a reason as I’ve seen for a band potentially breaking up. Courteeners are still going and they’ve not cracked the south of England3 points

Goa Express were great yesterday at GM. I recommend everyone goes to see Lazarus Kane, they tore it apart on the rising stage on Friday. Caroline will be good and Sleep Eaters if you like psych garage type stuff. Aoiffe Nessa Francis pulled out of GM, so maybe some question marks as to whether she'll play EoTR? Covid checks at GM were cursory. Show your pass when entering the site and get a separate wristband. They didn't ask for ID to go with the pass so it could be anyone's. Think I've only seen 2 people wearing masks the whole weekend. Big Top has been rammed with the sort of mosh pits you'd expect for bands like Shame and Black Midi. The best thing about being here is spending a week liberated from all the shit that's been happening the past 18 months. No one I've spoken to has mentioned covid, it's been overwhelmingly positive to be in a field with loads of smiling, happy people who are having actual fun. It's never nice to leave festivals after having a great time but tomorrow is going to suck.3 points

Without too much of a detour to get there too...although it would mean five nights on the trot. You never know though - Laura Marling did an additional solo secret set at Green Man. Re The Murder Capital (like Self Esteem) they are doing London Friday and Warrington Saturday, so it would be a hike back down just for a secret set (as an official replacement might have been a different matter - I was convinced Self Esteem would come off the subs bench when they did last week's replacements).1 point

They got back to me and said you can come and go after 1am no problem. Isn't there separate camping for families and over 18s?1 point

This year is the first year I'm not going since 2015, but I'm a bit jealous now tbh. That Friday is stacked if you're into your indie music. You've got a run of Nothing But Thieves > The Snuts > Inhaler > Sports Team > Sea Girls > Declan McKenna > Sam Fender > Yonaka > Catfish with no clashes, other than 10 mins on Sam Fender and Yonaka.1 point

No main stage clashes? Looks like Nothing but Thieves and Demob Happy will be clashing, two of my favourite bands on the line up 😐1 point

Slept on it on Friday because it was the day of our Lorde, but the new Joy Formidable album is excellent.1 point

Did you try Twickets also? fan to fan and often under face value sells pretty well on there (sold Supergrass last week). You don't pay a fee as a seller, just small fee for a buyer. https://www.twickets.live/event/14037431259517460481 point

Hence Architects - their in London on the 30th for that ALT LDN (as are FEVER 333 but not at the ALT festival, but I’m buzzing I see FEVER in London as well as Leeds) If architects are the ones announced I’ll be very very happy1 point

They were much better to be fair. Split the audience at Bloodstock but way more people enjoyed them than I was expecting.1 point

Scotland….. is amazing. Van is also being amazing and really working well for me. So quiet in the wind and rain and road noise. And totally blacked out also. I’m currently somewhere in the middle of Glen Coe. Inching north 🧭🏴1 point
