  1. OMG. I’ve just met the man himself!

  2. You really hate letting people live their lives, don’t you? First saying the festival shouldn’t go ahead because of safety concerns around covid and then judging people who decide to wear masks to feel safer around covid. It’s quite sad man

  3. You have repeatedly said in the not too distant past that you would rather festivals not go ahead than you have to do a lateral flow test to gain entry. What do you mean ‘if that is what the world has come to?’ Of course that is what the world has come to, we’ve just been in the throes of a global pandemic where masks have been a massive help in preventing the spread. Masks are going to be seen in public for years to come. Do you think it is sad that people in Asia have been walking around cities wearing masks for years out of personal choice? Is it sad that people have the power to make a personal choice? Let people enjoy themselves. If that enjoyment comes with them choosing to wear a mask, who cares? How does that effect you personally in any way? Because that sounds like you are blaming people for, again, choosing to wear a mask (it’s not enforced), not those ‘who put things in place’, as you say.

  4. Goa Express were great yesterday at GM. I recommend everyone goes to see Lazarus Kane, they tore it apart on the rising stage on Friday. Caroline will be good and Sleep Eaters if you like psych garage type stuff. Aoiffe Nessa Francis pulled out of GM, so maybe some question marks as to whether she'll play EoTR? Covid checks at GM were cursory. Show your pass when entering the site and get a separate wristband. They didn't ask for ID to go with the pass so it could be anyone's. Think I've only seen 2 people wearing masks the whole weekend. Big Top has been rammed with the sort of mosh pits you'd expect for bands like Shame and Black Midi. The best thing about being here is spending a week liberated from all the shit that's been happening the past 18 months. No one I've spoken to has mentioned covid, it's been overwhelmingly positive to be in a field with loads of smiling, happy people who are having actual fun. It's never nice to leave festivals after having a great time but tomorrow is going to suck.

  6. I'm so excited about this Friday. Wolf Alice, Liam Gallagher and Biffy, plus clashes permitting Baby Queen and Holly Humberstone, and just being back in the BIG festival atmosphere. Going to be an amazing day and a big hangover on Saturday...

  7. If people want to wear masks, they can wear masks. It doesn’t alter your day, does it?

  13. Should deffo be ok to park there from Friday morning at least. I was wondering about this, they've put the east car parks on the map this year,I could be wrong but I think this is the first time they've done that since around 2013/14, I think they've just used the car park that end of the campsite just for day ticket holders since 2015 but with them showing on the official map this year I'm wondering if they'll be available to weekenders to use from the weds/thurs as well as the usual parking South of site, did hear somebody mention they got rid of the east (or brown as it used to be known) car parks for weekenders from 2015 due to lower ticket sales, more people car sharing or using public transport to get to site but if they've brought it back this year I for one will be chuffed as an elder festival goer these days I was looking to camp in brown so would be ideal for us.

  15. Maybe I’ll just grow out my stubble a bit…😂 Alright cheers pal, proper looking forward to it honestly, I couldn’t go in 2019 because of a family emergency, 2020 was cancelled, so if I don’t get covid this week I should be good at last lmao

  16. If you're attempting to get drink in and you look under the age of 25 i imagine you're going to get ID'd, maybe the average tom, dick or harry wouldn't know what a PASS ID is but luckily you'll be presenting it to someone who works security, who i'm sure will be more than familiar with it, you should be alright mate

  17. If it's a lovely day, I certainly will. That's the advantage of living 45 minutes away, can decide on the day whether to head down Wednesday evening or Thursday lunchtime.

  20. A few years ago at Leeds, once we'd got in and tents pitched etc, my daughter produced a full bedroom mirror* out of her backpack and proceeded to do her make up. I didn't know of this smuggling operation beforehand, maybe just as well! *like one you'd get on a dresser I mean, not a full length one!

  22. Mixed bag with mirrors, I've seen security take them off people and I've seen them let the really small flip ones through. I'd wrap it in to a secure place just to be sure. Preeeetty sure that's how I got out in 2019! Not 100% sure on this, mainly because Leeds have decided to give an absolutely horrendous resolution map and no PDF download. At first glance it looks like the village has moved from it's normal spot to left of the arena entrance? You can see all the medical stuff is around the 5-a-side pitches now. I've never had any issues with snobs, abuse etc.. based on the music. The atmosphere is usually dictated by where you put yourself in the festival. Red/Blue camp is still the same, expect a young crowd, lots of noise until early hours etc.. Orange is a nice in between and purple backwards is calmer. I don't think the demographic has changed THAT much in the last 5-6 years. At the end of the day, everyone is out to have a good time (minus a few dicks) and the festival is what you make it. If you want to go hard and get silly, there's a place for you. If you want to be chill and have a more laid back weekend, there's a place for you 🙂 Have a great weekend!

  25. Beer is much cheaper and I dare to say better 😉 Pint is under £2, plus there's a choice of 20+ different beers, from craft ones to big brands. Pretty much anything is 2-3x cheaper...

  31. My partner started at season 1 but I joined in at season 2 (as originally thought I wouldn’t like it)which was a pretty good season. You can jump in at any season though. After season 2 they took a few years out and kinda relaunched it with season 3 with some new hosts etc so it maybe would be worth jumping on there. However, I really enjoyed season 2. Basically you can start anywhere but it’s good so I’d start at the beginning if you can be bothered 😆

  46. I think everyone needs to be prepared for last minute changes or just gaps in the schedule. Latitude had quite a few changes due to COVID positive results affecting bands. Also with other major festivals over the Bank Holiday they are going to struggle to find replacements as most Uk based artists will be already be booked up and I doubt they will be able to arrange any international artists due to restrictions.

  47. You're baffled? Give your head a massive wobble! Nowhere did I say I'm against festivals going ahead but you keep on believing that for your own ignorant and arrogant self righteous needs.
