  1. The reason they've no day splits or times out yet is that there aren't any.. the entire program is just BEAK> morning to night.. playing in lieu of everyone else.

  2. It’s not a problem it being open air or having bigger bands. it’s the fact we’ve lost a stage to accommodate it, and with less bands playing on it, due to the no clashes thing, than the old setup, that’s 30-40 less bands to choose from

  3. Spot on, the best things about the R1 were the atmosphere and the extra variety it offers vs the main stage. With no R1 and no Pit stage on the LG day it’s shit or bust for me that day so it’s a good job the lineups on the main stages are decent

  4. Been off the new music radar for the past month but I’ve just listened to Mood Ring. It’s a fucking vibe.

  5. Personally I want to see a big budget 2000 trees/Arctangent/Slam Dunk something like Riot Fest in the US of A. Have top headliners like NIN, Queens Of The Stone Age, No Doubt, The Cure etc that sorta but don't really fit with either Reading or Download and the rest of the line up filled with shit loads of punk bands.

  6. Still remember seeing Gaslight Anthem in the Lockup in 08 - one of the best sets I've seen at the festival

  7. Updated the EOTR playlist with new tracks - based on recent setlists - for Richard Dawson (as spotted by @Mardy) and Drug Store Romeos, and removed what appears to be the wrong 'Oldboy' (if anyone knows if the right act have anything on Spotify please let me know, there are a few with the name).

  8. Still hoping for The Strokes! Has the situation changed, and if not, can we expect them elsewhere in Belgium?

  10. It was announced yesterday that 12 - 15 year olds can now get the vaccine and there is a really big push to get as many done as possible, we were too complacent overall and a target by the end of the year for all being offerred, hopefully that will reduce by a month or so now.

  11. Ah, who cares? Frankly I'd drink Carling through a sweaty sock just to be at a festival again! 😄

  12. The angle of what’s being built, doesn’t even look like it is facing the original main stage

  13. right that’s it stop speculating everyone, my mother has it figured out. she’s an ITK clearly

  14. No, it'll be fine. I've used mine for several years. I've never felt cold at EotR compared to other festivals although it is on high ground and if you get a clear night it can get a bit nippy. But as someone who once went to Lindisfarne festival on the same weekend, where the wind came in direct off the North Sea, then maybe I'm not best placed to comment.

  15. im not even a fan of the whole no clash thing anyway. I don't want to be stuck in the arena for hours at a time, there has to be time for getting seshed at the camp in between

  16. Yes reckon NZ has got it right. My daughter and family think so. Nows the time to ramp up the vaccine roll out and I would include secondary school kids in that. Then a gradual open up of international travel . Such a beautiful and diverse country for staycation holidays why would anyone want to go elsewhere anyway apart of course for Glastonbury!

  17. Yes are a bit pricier but I had some Decathlon gift vouchers to use so that was good. You can sometimes pick them up reduced too, especially if you are near a store.

  18. Some of it just isn't very well thought out though, like when they've gone from Aitch on the MSE immediately after you've got Mabel, and the same with The Wombats and TDCC. If they alternated each stage with different genres that would work, but with the 2 examples I've given (along with many others) you'll have a lot of crossover, because if someone is into one of them, you'd assume they would be into the other.

  20. Albert Road is usually quite fun afterwards. A lot of bars tend to to for a late license because of the bank holiday as well

  22. It shown as such on the music line up page, and I think it always has been, so not sure why they are billing it as a mystery now! GWENNO & ANGHARAD DAVIES Cornish-Welsh musician and Welsh Music Prize winner Gwenno Saunders has been a trailblazer in many ways – and she will continue this trend as the first musician to perform in the cinema tent. She will perform her newly created live score for the film Bait alongside Angharad Davies.

  23. assume the "Mystery Film" on Friday is Bait - somewhwere I saw Gewnno is due to play 3.30pm on Friday

  24. The problem isn’t the Pit/Lockup stages in themselves, it’s the people who would likely to go to those stages don’t have much else on the other stages to attract them to the festival in the first place. Why would they spend money on a weekend ticket to Reading/Leeds and stay on the Lockup/Pit when they could go to 2000 trees/Arctangent/Slam Dunk or wherever to see similar sized bands for much cheaper and more stages.

  25. Completely agree. Download pilot is showed what the pit could/should be

  26. Exactly. The 1st limited edition of tickets was around 70€ and got sold out in a few minutes as we already knew Hella Mega Tour is coming.

  27. I use twickets all the time (fan to fan sale for face value). They have a few tickets for early bird price (30 + 4.20 booking fee). https://www.twickets.live/event/1403745048251600896

  28. You say that but they could ‘easily’ schedule it so you don’t have to given: a) there isn’t that many acts. b) 2 ‘main stages’ on site. c) And they’ve nearly managed it on Friday…

  31. Feeling a bit perkier today. Some good vaccination news from Australia for once. I’ve already written off Christmas but I’m pretty confident about Glastonbury now. Not enough to buy a flight yet but that may well happen in December to lighten the mood a little.

  33. Great to see you're having a week in Hasselt. Would have joined you if we were allowed into the country. 2011 is only the 2nd Pukkelpop I've missed since 2009 along with 2015 and was solely down to us not fancying the line up. In all honesty we'd have probably missed it anyway as we had a habit of going up to the site really late back then and we would have been either in the Irish Times or in the taxi up to the site, but still reading the reports back home and what everyone went through that year was horrific and has affected people to this day. RIP the people who went out simply to have a good time and never came home x x x Edit - even though you've probably told us that story a few times, the fact that someone had the the thought to do that with the penknife is incredible.

  44. Loving Pressure Machine - great stuff. Reminds me a bit of last August when Taylor completely changed lane and smashed it with Folklore. This is the biggest departure yet from their usual Stadium Rock, and I reckon they have nailed it. Always a big risk doing something like this and all credit to them for pulling it off so brilliantly. Love Brandon's vocals and the whole theme behind it. Good choices - pretty much my favs as well plus West Hills. The title track is fantastic
