  1. "Book the usual lot but this year call the three subs, HEADLINERS, and put them on ANOTHER main stage."

  2. Hey what did I do? That's the 6 I gave you an hour ago. I always drop truth, then bull, then truth. An actual shit sandwich where the truth is even shittier than the bullshit.

  5. Always a bit weird to see messages like this. You just did the same on the Glasto forum to muted reaction not even an hour ago Not sure what compels someone to go "hahaha what if no WOMEN or BLACK MUSICIANS" but it's probably not something to be championing tbh

  8. Same background assets/texture that hasn't been used in a previous announcement which would be hard to pull from a gif, doubt

  9. So basically we have 3 headliners in Stormzy, Post and LG, that’s why they’re the only ones in bold. The others are just glorified sub/R1 stage headliners.

  10. I'm done with this festival. Every year I get my hopes up and think it might get better, and every year it just gets worse. At least 2020 was going to have RATM. Complete waste of time staying invested.

  14. I like how they keep saying "don't worry, there aren't going to be clashes!" when who the fuck wants to see all of that lot?

  15. Yeah, it sounds bigger than I would have thought. But I've not built any epidemiological models to check. Have you? Besides "without strong controls" hides a multitude of sins. If this spring has taught us nothing else, it should have taught us that just because things have been fine in the recent past, they will continue to be fine in the immediate future. It may well be a vast overestimate, but Utter nonsense. What a hysterical over reaction? Pretend you know what the future holds at your peril. The start of the academic year is very well known for spreading viruses. It's not to be sniffed* at. * Apologies for the pun. Let's just not underestimate that this could be an inflection point.

  26. I've bought a fancy new soundbar recently, so just remembered that I have the 2017 set on hand. Bloody hell, they were good. Whether it was as good as other gigs, or fan friendly - I don't really care. It was fan-bloody-tastic. Ful Stop sounded more massive than the record, the guitar on OKC and Bends sounded more visceral than the records. It's a shame that people further back didn't get the full experience, but look at the faces on the coverage of those near the front - Radiohead live are a transcendental experience. They're just a really fucking good live band aren't they?

  27. i think we are going to have to think outside the box with this one i haven't been on this form since 2012, its the first time ive been bothered about a lineup since around then. The idea of 2 stages to me seams like a really good one and too me gives Melvin the chance to do something that i believe would work very well split the music genres down the middle dance and rap on one main stage and rock and indie on another but anyway my totally bogus and not going to happen perdition baring in mind 6 acts never headlined before ps. sorry for bad spelling im heavily dyslexic Friday MS1 Billie Eilish / tyler the creator MS2 Bring Me The Horizon / royal blood Saturday MS1 Dua Lipa / Rudimental MS2 LG / sam fender / lewis capaldi Sunday MS1 Travis Scot / Dave MS2 Slipknot / Nine Inch Nails

  30. I'm really going to miss the Radio 1 stage. Such an electric atmosphere in there when there's a big gig. Hard to replicate that with a second main stage.

  46. He’s fine. Heard him and then saw him in my office and was confused as to where he went to. Found him in my desk. Tried to tempt him out with Nutella and sweets but he was having none of it so had to resort to taking the desk apart. Moved him to the bin and then gave him some water and Nutella and then moved him to the wild (i live by a lake). Up gone 3 i was.

  47. It's a tough sell- waste hours of your life commuting unnecessarily, spend a fortune on travel costs when you have just spent the past 6 proving you can do the work from home, significantly increase your risk of catching covid-19 and passing it on to your household, in order to keep wealthy landlords rich in London (while the government pretends its out of concern for sandwich shop workers). Meanwhile even if you do do all that, you're probably still going to be made redundant in a few months as most companies are planning on cutting staff. Om a side note, if working from home sticks post vaccine, I wonder what becomes of all the fancy office buildings in cities longer term- can they be converted in living accommodation? Do they stay empty? What other uses could be made for them?

  48. I like royal blood, but what have they done to get bumped up to headliner since 2019? Are R+L gambling on them bringing out a quality new album in the next 12 months?
