  1. I know it's got a little far from Tom Meighan, but I'm really enjoying how this thread has become an office tea break – or group therapy session? – for seemingly every Northerner on the board. Might be worth changing the title? It's very wholesome now (la).

  8. The Stones played BST the week after GF. Adele had done an extensive arena tour a few months beforehand. Stormzy played several European festivals including TRNSMT. Sheeran went straight from GF into an extensive US tour.

  13. I'm finding this news very hard to process and get over. Kasabian are one of my favourite bands, but Tom's actions here are inexcusable and unforgivable... It's an especially difficult situation for me, as I was a victim of domestic abuse as a child, getting caught between by parents. It was a shockingly similar situation, too, with alcohol, drugs and mental health issues involved. Life has progressed since, and both parents are better now, and have become better for it. I forgive them, and I still love them. Though, obviously, those thoughts will always exist in the back of my mind. I fe

  18. Went to my second pub today after yesterday. A lot more militant, desk with screen at the entrance, absolutely no service at the bar, they ask you if you want to sit inside or outside and take you to your seats. Table service only, then masked bar maids bring you your drinks. If you need a wee then you follow the one way system back round to the entrance and back through the pub do to your seat. It actually worked really well, takes a bit of getting used to but it all makes sense. In some strange way I kind of like how things are at the moment.

  19. Great to see both headliners back, good start. Not sure whether I should get tickets now as I returned mine as I couldn’t attend the September dates but now it’s bank on the bank holiday.

  20. Often we find ourselves lapsing into our POV being clouded by our love for Glastonbury and how important it is (to us) and why X Artist *must* be cognisant of the importance of the festival and therefore will have made it a priority to play, despite other commitments. And often on here, among the multitude of varying opinions, that blind love, loyalty if you will, is tempered by the check and balance of actual reality. That said, fuck reality. I’m nailing my colours to the mast of blind faith in the utter importance of Glastonbury over all other festivals and gigs. Therefore Sw

  26. Remember crisps? You mean like the crisps we ate noisily into the mic 10 minutes ago? Yes, but they weren't hedgehog crisps were they like we had back in the eighties. But they weren't really hedgehog flavour were they? I used to get them at the school tuckshop with a pack of Spangles. Remember Spangles? Whatever happened to Spangles? Spangles? Remember them? Spangles? Spangles? Spangles? Spangles? Coming up next The Chain, but here's Jeff Buckley Remember Jeff Buckley? - Radmac - a play

  37. I dunno, I took one look at that awful picture and couldn't believe it was real, or that anyone would even consider it. If the reality is even half as depressing, then I'd much rather stay in and watch old concert footage on youtube.

  38. Usually companies do a run of them at the venue for example Virgin Money is doing Unity Arena in Newcastle so theres a few bands doing that. If you follow music companies and accounts on Twitter you will see them. Also on the Glastonbury page theres a Tour and Announcement thread which people put in when a gigs announced, that'll keep you up to date.

I didn’t get a ticket for 2020, will I still get a chance to book tickets for 2021 Tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2021 are sold out, with deposits paid for the 2020 Festival having rolled over. However just as we were due to have a resale in April for the 2020 Festival, any tickets for which the deposit is returned before 15th September 2020 will be made available in a ticket sale in early October. To book tickets in any sale you will first need to be registered. https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/a-statement-from-glastonbury-festival/

  44. the farm walk has just been completed thus thwarting my pursuit of a beer. The foal , pictured above, was seemingly born weeks ago. Mrs c was wondering why I decided after all my moans to take its photo. However it was nice to see the farm campsite full of tents, a good sign for the future.
