  1. With the day nearing when we should be on the farm probably many of you are like me, mood going up and down thinking about what we are missing but already thinking about next year. Reckon though we should spare a thought for Michael, Emily and all the festival staff who worked so hard putting on the festival just to see it cancelled. The many many festival builders and the clear up squad the traders in food and merchandising, and the wholesalers who supply them the three main charities who will lose the substantial donations the many Pilton area local charities wh

  9. Totally forgot to post this, but here is the top 20 of acts people wanted to see according to the stats of Clashfinder. Was quite pleasantly surprised to see how many people actually wanted to see Kendrick, clearly shows that those facebook comments don't always tell the whole story (this clashfinder doesn't either ofc).

  17. I understand that but it’s not my thinking. For all the upset this has caused and however Scary it is or is perceived to be, the odds are in favour of the *vast* majority of us being alive after it passes. At that point if you’ve given everything to the Government or had your identity stolen you aren’t getting it back. My catchphrase at the moment is ‘risk vs reward’. Washing your hands, maintaining some Social Distancing, wearing Face Coverings, being overall sensible are easy things to do. Low effort, low risk, high reward. Giving any Government (let alone a demonstrably untrustwort

  18. I’ve been! Arrive early each day, good acts on from early and it finishes at 10pm after parties are not worthwhile as difficult to get to after everyone leaves at the same time and you’ll be tired from a long day it can be very, very warm by UK standards. by contrast if it rains there is no cover. All open air. If hot you need hat and suncream big time. the circus sideshow freak show thing is amazing and a must see stay near a metro station ideally on the pink line or in “the loop” (city centre) as transport after can be an arse. Chicago is unfathomably huge. Book your acco

  21. I feel your pain. Truly I do. I think that the whole of the UK does too. Man, when they open them gardens it's going to be a delight (weather permitting). It's also going to be very messy for some, I'd say. Good luck to them / us / me, is my way of thinking. We will be let out of our bunkers and allowed to mingle with others, whilst increasingly starting to talk more and more gibberish as the drink goes down. I'm almost drooling now at the thought of it. If I do drool and it makes a connection with the keyboard, I could be a gonner. Going to have to go away and not think of beer in a sunn

  25. Murder Most Foul is up there with Dylan's greatest songs - which is frankly not fucking faint praise - but I struggle with seeing this album as a gateway to Bob. It's connoisseur's choice. Isley malt music. Laphroaig vibes.

  27. Not strictly Northern Soul (so might get chased out of here with pitchforks and flaming torches) but if you like some of this stuff being buggered about with, sampled and mixed has anyone tried giving The Allergies a spin? Use a lot of NS samples in their tracks, can be a bit hit and miss but they're really good when they nail it.

  30. Its not the biggest threat, but its definitely a threat. The main reason people wanted to leave the EU is because they dont want any foreign people coming in (and especially not POC). Sure Saudi Arabia/China etc. are worse, but just because we arent the worst country at something doesnt mean we dont have any room for improvement. Plus its a lot easier for us to make change locally than overseas, dont think a protest here is going to topple the CCP. Plus, China + Saudi are weird places to pick considering the fairly regular outrage over here at the stuff they do (Kashoggi, Yemen, Uighurs,

  31. Ah OK...my bad then. I still hope festivals won't be holding on to the 'Benelux' exclusives too tight. This is a difficult year for everyone who's got anything to do with music. RW didn't do too well in sales pre-corona and I believe I've read that Taylor Shift and Paul McCartney won't be doing a 2021 summer tour in Europe. If totally hypothetical Live Nation would have lets say an exclusive Coldplay in Amsterdam deal, I'll just hope they be lenient about such deals and let them play TW Classic as well and are just aiming for the best possible line ups for festivals, artists and audiences.

  38. There was one particularly windy day, with bright sunshine and 2l bottles of Brothers on sale. I refused to either wear a hat, or apply suncream. I ended up in the medical tent on Friday afternoon with weeping sores all over my head and was prescribed a sombrero. Turned out my head was far too burnt to wear such a scratchy hat directly, so I also purchased a bucket hat to go underneath. Two hats. What year was it?

  39. I didn't manage to get tickets this year which was soul destroying and still is a little as its highly unlikely I'll get in to the festival any time soon .since the bbc announced all the coverage that's going to be happening over the weekend I've been buying plotting and planning to turn my garden in to Glastonbury for the weekend. Its quite a large garden that all ready has a big decked area that has a bar that I built and is covered with a sun canopy , I have an outdoor brick building that I'm going to turn in to some sort of mini version of shangr la , lights political messages dolls heads
