  10. Surely the best moment for everyone will be that first sunset on the Wednesday? Sun's been out all day, you're just the right amount of high (on drink, life etc.), you can't decided whether to put your jumper on now or wait a little longer so you feel the "benefit" more, you're with friends old and new, everyone around you is thinking the exact same and you just step back for a moment, take a look around and do a deep breath as you mutter to yourself "it's good to be home" Not to forget those lights, those twinkly bastards on the pathways. You know the ones. Beautiful. Anyhow an

  14. I've made a playlist for the Strokes day, like the big Glasto one, using the songs featuring most often in each act's recent setlists. It's a cracking lineup so there's loads of good stuff on there:

  15. ADTR headlining main with Limp Bizkit subbing and Alexisonfire third down. Don Broco headlining second with Frank Carter subbing. The Story So Far, New Found Glory and Converge headlining the Avalanche with bands suited to them playing below them each day. Periphery headlining fourth because their new (bloody excellent) album has some pure pop punk hooks and melodies throughout. BOOM. Sorted.

  19. Liam’s in Slovakia and Ukraine that weekend so definitely won’t be adding a further date. I’ve literally no idea who it could be. I think they’ll be sharing them with Mad Cool with them playing there on Thursday and Nos on the Friday. Going by that it definitely won’t be Tame Impala. I’m just struggling to even hazard a guess who it could be

  28. One of my favourite things to do in the run-up to Glasto is to watch videos that people have made of Glastonbury - whether they be professionally made, set-to-music montage films, or self-made vlogs with the front camera of a mobile phone. Many times, I've got myself into a 2-3 hour YouTube Loop, having lost myself in seeing everyone's different experiences. I think we need a thread where people post their favourite videos of Glastonbury - not performance sets from bands on stages, BBC style, but self-made videos of Glastonbury Festival as a whole. Whether they be on YouTube, Vimeo, o

  31. 2019 is a year when a lot of bands cancelled their plans or showed some interest, but also pulled out the trigger. So you can say that The Strokes are not replacing some band specific. Normally The Smashing Pumpkins were not touring during their weekend too. But extra cash can do some magic, sometimes.

  34. I think I may be taking this thread little seriously. But I must admit I'm a bit tired of this rhetoric of slagging people off. It's the one thing I would change about this board. There's so much mental illness/ depression within the Arts and music scene and it's made so much worse with people having this blanket pretend hatred of various people. You see it on Twitter all the time. Be nice people. But yeah I should chill out I guess and I just slagged off Fat White Family so I'm just as bad.

  36. Honestly I think Friday is already full, they normally have 23 acts per day and Friday is already at 23. Thurs has 20 (3 to come) and Sat 17 (6 to come). Happy to be wrong though. The JB info faded away sadly (I love his new record)

  37. I went solo in 2017 and absolutely loved it, remains one of my all time favourite festival experiences. I was stewarding, so met loads of people through that, but would definitely have enjoyed it just as much as a normal punter. Unsure about the quiet camping filling up fast, but I can tell you there tends to be loads of free space around the edges and I'd imagine quiet camping would intentionally be in one of those less busy spots. By pure coincidence we camped next to a Facebook group of solo goers in 2015, who all seemed like a good bunch when I sat down with them for a beer one n

  38. Wonder what it would take to get Prydz there. Realistically think he could pack out the JP tent but would be amazing to see him show up. Has he ever played? Hoping Peggy Gou is on the farm this year, great DJ who’s been doing the rounds and making a name over the last year or so.
