eFestivals is fund-raising

eFestivals has been here 20 years supporting festivals and festival goers. Without your support it will not continue as it has been.
Advertising used to pay the bills but advertising revenues are much less than they were.

Festivals: if you'd like us to continue to promote your event to our 650,000 monthly readers you'll need to give a helping hand.
Festival-Goers: if every visitor in just one day donated just £2, that would provide funding for a whole year.

You can donate or sign up for 'gold' (ad-free) membership, or you can contact the editor.

    Brexit at Glasto?

Yes, must be so raw at the moment and each time they glance over stage right and he's not there must be awful for them. At the height of our mourning for our dear friend and comrade Jake Black, who died on Monday, we were faced with certain urgent and difficult decisions, not least the question of whether we should play the two forthcoming shows this weekend. We have only just started to process our grief, or even begin to think about the impossibility of filling the massive hole that Jake has left behind. There has been a strong argument within the band that we should pull these shows as a mark of respect. In the end it came down to this: What would Jake want? What would Jake do? Jake would never want to miss a show. Aside from being in hospital with pneumonia, we can assure you, whatever heavy shit he had to deal with, not least the loss of many of his own friends and lovers, he would be there on stage for you. It was a point of pride. We can also tell you that he would laugh at us if we wallowed in sentimentality, and berate us for letting down fans who loved him. So please all of you who are coming, help us get through this, and join us this weekend in Newcastle and Falkirk to celebrate the life of our friend, the unique and irrepressible Jake Black.

    Brexit at Glasto?

I don't think I'm going to vote today as I don't see what difference it will make. When people have said that to me in the past, I've been confused at their position and have tried to explain why it's important that we all vote. I'm a lifelong labour supporter and member of the Labour Party. I'm totally jaded with politics at the moment and have no confidence Corbyn. Voting for Labour in my area is pointless, especially considering their position on Brexit, but I don't think I want to vote against it. Regardless of the outcome of this vote, I expect we're still going to end up with a no deal / revoke / general election scenario later down the line.
  9. I didnt either. I think its because of the whole thing of last minute elections and a gov happy to disenfranchise voters while they're not campaigning.
  10. Thought they'd already announced? I wonder if this could mean full line-up with times etc... in five minutes? I know but a girl can dream.
  11. In certain years past, if you can’t see the Tor it’s raining, if you can see it, then it’s about to rain!
  12. I'd recommend a small intimate stage if you can however it may be a little busy! Doing the Rabbit Hole which could be insanely crowded.

That must be so hard to go on stage each night.
  14. I pondered voting Green at both the last generals. That 4k lead in 2015 was easily recoverable. I know there was a 30k odd majority in 2017, but I have Labour far more trust then than I will again. And with the tories and Williams near dead here there'll be less fear of needing to tactically vote Labour again. I see here going green in the next 2 elections (assuming decent candidates).
  15. what is today's update looking like?
  16. Flamingods are a sort of psycadelic rock band from Bahrain they are brilliant. Their new album levitation is great and well worth a listen. They are playing at the HMS sweet charity in the park, played in 2017 at about 1am so anticipating the same!
  17. It's gonna be one pleasant evening at WH on Saturday (if line up predictions are to be believed - looking at you again @Mattymooz!).

Just heard about this ---Absolutely gutted. Great performer and a lovely guy. The Glade 2015 was probably the best performance i have seem from the A3 in 20 years of their gigs and right up there in my favorite ever Glastonbury sets. Just been on their facebook and it looks like they have decided to continue their current tour in respect to what he would have wanted rather than how they are feeling at the moment. RIP
  20. Wow, thanks, they are so good, Charm x
  21. Still not sure why everyone thinks this is the wildest thing ever. I'd put money on not being able to get near that tent.

    The Weather Thread 2019

The 'good' thing is (if you wanna call it that) if you're out and about at the festival (i.e. not in JPT or something) you can see the weather coming. It's almost impossible to get caught out with the rain in this respect: "Shit, look at that massive black cloud" [*waterproofs go on*]
