woke up this morning - good this isnt it??

Yep we ventured to Fruitstock by car - on my say so - nightmare traffic left at 2 got to Regents park at about 5 but it was great when we got there - very busy thou. Mother in law enjoyed her first 'festival' all the sights and sounds. She says she wishes she was 40 years younger - indicating to me that she thinks you have to be teens early twenties only. But shes wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong. Darrens cousin was over from Canada too so he came along - dont think it was his thing but Trudi en

Sorry I missed you mister SMS guy

So of course Sod's Law dictated that my Leeds Festival ticket would arrive while I was at work, so I've rearranged it for Tuesday delivery now instead. Thats pretty much all I've got to say about today, also I ordered some new guitar pickups from America, it works out cheaper than getting them from the UK. Oh well, back to work at 6am tomorrow

And Thus It Was Saturday

Saturday began very oddly for me, in that, I was still at work when the clock struck midnight, and Saturday 5th August 2006 was born. I finished, got paid 100 english pounds and decided whether to go the house party I had been told about, the pub that served late, or my friend who was awake even later. I eventually opted for the 'go to bed you have work in 12 hours option', which led to trouble sleeping and eventually a dream where I was at work I now have to mull over I shall do with my Sa

Leeds ticket trois.

We went to Leeds today, filthy Leeds as I like to call it. Managed to find Crash records piece of piss, forgot the all important blue slip receipt and started to cry inside at the thought that we may have to go home sans ticket, didnt, so thats one ticket. We do it all again soon to the south to exchange two other tickets.

Target Practice

Well two significant things today: Firstly it's the first anniversary of my Dad's death. It's depressing having no family as they're the only folks actually interested in what you're doing. I've seen him briefly in the 'otherworld' and he's happy enough i think. But I've kind of knocked the whole spirit stuff on the head the last few months, too many people opposed to my views i guess and withdrawn myself from the edges of the spiritworld. I've had the occasional trickster, laughing at my sit

ARRRGGGG!!!

Ok, so my consultant is an idiot, we KNEW this from the begining.... I mean, the man looks just like Rob Brydon, and is unable to go a full sentance without saying "umm" or repeating himself. But ya know, he is curing my cancer and all that, so I've been letting things lie, but now he really has proved his moronity ( i invented a word to express my rage) Cause Reginald (my cancer) is being akward, my chemo dates have been moved forward, which means that my last chemo (well, the last of th

Leeds tickets, Part deus.

I wonder about our fairweatheredness, its pissing down outside and now, yes we are still making the trip to leeds, as we need the ticket, but the camping element has gone by the by. I think we are getting old. Oh the band last night, they were excellent, you need to know that.

Warped Tour.

How many of these blogs' first word is likely to be well. I guarantee most of them will start well this is my blog, or well this is my first post or some such similar posting. Well then first post of a blog, as this is hosted by efestivals and because I have a different general music blog over at blogger, look for readyartbrut, I thought keep this to festival related. You may know that I went to the Warped tour in California last month, the Warped tour is an established one day travelling

Leeds tickets.

I would like to say the preparations are in full swing for Leeds festival, it only being 3 weeks away, but they aren't, the tent will come out tomorrow as we are off up the north to collect a Leeds ticket, which I am selling at face value to a man that Essex befriended at download. It galls me to sell it at face value as I am a capitalist with a socialist heart, but fair is fair, I offered it at face and he will get it at face. So yes, we are off to Leeds to get the ticket and then we are havin

Clap your hands say yeah.

One of the highlights for me this year at Leeds outside of the company, however that is a big thing, they are tried and tested thankfully, Teago has been to 6 festivals with me, Essex, (I don't want to big him up as he is quite a modest man, but Paul Essex is a prince amongst gentlemen, excellent company any time of the day and if you have the opportunity to spend time with him, please do) and the rest we were with at Download and little legs, the shortened version of a wife is used to my tantru

Hello mister Thief

So, you may have read this in discussions, but I'm putting it here too. Last night while I was asleep, somebody broke into my house, and upon discovering my room was unlocked, decided to go right on in, where pretty much all my posessions are. I woke up when he came into my room, but was unfortunately not alert enough to stop him making an escape with my tent after he looked at me and said "sorry mate" - sorry you got caught you son of a bitch. Thankfully my spotting them didnt give any chanc

Holiday......celebrate

So it's the last day of work before the holiday tomorrow. Driving up to Southwold (Suffolk) tomorrow with the boy and the girl in the back and the (seven and a half month pregnant) missus in the front. Should be an experience. Still we survived the round trip to Cornwall in June without anyone killing each other so hopefully we can manage this too. The boy's been very stroppy the last few days, talking back to his mother etc. Hopefully getting away from the confines of the house will impro

The Fiat - a cautionary Tale

To explain for Bus: So it's May and we've got 12 festivals line up for the year. So K takes the car into Nationwide for a complete service, explaining it's got to do about 2000 miles in the next 3 months and we're prepared to pay to ensure it all runs smoothly. Should have guessed when she came to pick it up at the allotted time and it was still in bits, that it was gonna go pear shape. However they said it'd be ready in half an hour, so a coffee later she leaves the garage. During the

Remember to keep on trucking

Having seen the bbc coverage of Big Green Gathering today I rather wish i was there then i followed the links to Truck http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/collective/A13343843 - and I'm definitely going next year it's the week after Guilfest. so here's the plans already for 2007! subject to change of course! So that'll be: Hi Fi South (possibly) or Run to The Sun (we've never been and it is local) Wychwood (essential) IOW Glastonbury Calling Cornbury/Priddy (more likely the former) Guilfest

It's just a machine!!!

Said goodbye to the old Fiat this morning - it's only a piece of metal right. But I've got feelings for the thing! I mean it's got 3 Glasto parking stickers on it. It's got those dents in it. It's got character! The new car looks all new and errrr new. It's not got that personalised look to it. Gonna miss the bleedin' thing and I don't even drive! In other news need to remember to book tickets on megatrain for the footie - Plymouth v QPR (seems there's loads of us going now). Need to join the
