Returning for a third year the Willowman Festival has moved this year to a new location the Hillside Rural Activities Park, Knayton between Thirsk & Northallerton, in North Yorkshire. The family friendly event takes place over four days on the Summer Solstice weekend from Thursday 21st to Sunday 24th June 2012.

Willowman festival has added two new stages - Axis Sound System and Creative Intentions Chill out Café.

Tickets

The early bird offer has ended. Tickets are priced at £70 for a full weekend including camping (live in vehicles are £15 per vehicle). Young Persons (aged 12 – 17 years old) weekend ticket is priced at £35. An adult Saturday and Sunday ticket is priced at £50, young persons half price. Friday and Saturday day tickets are priced at £30 for 12 years and above, with a Sunday only 12 yrs & over ticket available at a price of £15. A live in vehicle pass is £15, or £20 for caravans. The Willowman Festival promises a top line up for 2012 and will host main stage acts to suite all tastes, an acoustic stage, Reggae Sound System Tent and loads for the kids to do. There is also quality trade stands a wide variety of international food stalls and a Real Ale Beer Tent.

On site

Expect arts crafts and a complete Healing Area set in a tranquil position within the festival site. There will be Indian head massage, Shiatsu massage and Spiritual talks along with Card readings and Pagan Stone readings. Plus an under cover Vintage Market. A Chill Out Tent with entertainment and on the Open Mic Stage and the Willowman Arms Real Ale late bar.

Programme

The festival site will open around lunchtime on Thursday 21st June, with a special Solstice Party on Thursday evening to kick off the weekend.

Friday sees the music start on both stages along with featured DJs all weekend.

Saturday will see a day of quality music featuring the Festival's main act. With two music stages fully booked and an Acoustic Open mic Stage added so bring your guitars and other instruments along. This will be in the new Chill Out Tent which also offers drinks and snacks.

Sunday will have several additions too, a craft market, a Treasure Hunt and lots more to be confirmed. The festival site will close late on Sunday evening.

Bell tent hire

This year the festival will offer Sleeping Bells, a chance to hire a Bell tent complete with bed and furnishings and access to VIP toilets and showers.

Camping

Camping in a tent is free. There will be two campsite areas for 2012, one for tents only and a large area for campervans and caravans. There will also be family camping areas for those with kids. The average distance from the car park to the family camping is only 100m and there is flyer hire to help carry camping stuff onsite.

Volunteers

Like all festivals Willowman need keen volunteers to help run things smoothly. In exchange for working two 4 hour shifts over the weekend volunteers will receive free entry to the festival. General volunteers, car parking helpers, and campsite wardens are needed.

Family fun

Willowman Festival has fun for all the family, with a bouncy castle, face painting, junior arts and crafts, plus a funfair too, and all kids activities are free unless stated otherwise.
