THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
Waveform has been cancelled.

A statement from the organisers of Waveform says:

" It is with the deepest regret that we have to inform you that Waveform is postponed this year. The main reasons are the increased regulations for obtaining a licence, which have been incredibly prohibitive this year. The cost of ticking all the council boxes is just too restrictive for us to run an event such as Waveform, and despite employing our best tactics we are unable to comply and still maintain any sensible budget. We also believe that it would be very likely that first day licensing check issues would lead to a problem in opening up to the public at all.

In addition, we are feeling more and more uncomfortable with all the personal infringements required, from searching, to justification on all levels in order to gather a few thousand like-minded people in a field.

For those who purchased tickets directly from Waveform, right now we can only guarantee a percentage of your money back, but please bear with us as we are working on several options to help you.

The organisers have lost a substantial amount of money, and we felt it was important to communicate the postponement as soon as possible, while we work on alternatives for all ticket buyers. A sad day for all involved.

Please email info@waveformfestival.com for further information on all options."

Options for ticket holders

Organisers of Waveform have said they want to thank all those who have sent messages of support, and have managed to offer several options for all those direct ticket buyers. They are:

Free Entry to Over the Moon - 13th to 15th September http://www.overthemoonfestival.com (Plus discounted ticket to Waveform 2014)

A large number of Waveform's booked headliners have agreed to perform at Over the Moon instead of Waveform and the organizers have come to an arrangement with Waveform meaning they have tickets for anyone wishing to attend.
Please email info@waveformfestival.com to sort entry.

Free Entry to Alchemy - 20th to 22nd September
http://www.alchemyfestival.co.uk/  (Plus discounted ticket to Waveform 2014)

The organisers have kindly worked Waveform to enable free entry for any direct Waveform Ticket holders who do not already have a ticket for Alchemy.  They already have a few of the acts who were performing at Waveform.
Please email info@waveformfestival.com to sort entry.

Private Party – 7th to 8th September
event website to TBC (Plus discounted ticket to Waveform 2014)

For any festivalgoers that have bought tickets from Waveform but can’t make the above festivals they will be holding a private party in a similar location to where Waveform was to be held.
For more information including location please email info@waveformfestival.com

Free Ticket to Waveform 2014

This option offers full free entry including parking to Waveform 2014.
Please email Waveform on info@waveformfestival.com to sort your entry

Refunds

After finalising the above offers the organisers have no access to further funds right now. They say will honour refunds for those who do not wish to take any of the other options, but those who wish a refund are asked to bear with them as raising funds may take some time.
