The dates for 2008, the 29th Warwick Folk Festival, are confirmed as Friday 25th to Sunday 27th July.

The first acts for this year's line-up have been announced and include Bellowhead, Oysterband, Bob Fox, The Young Coppers, Jez Lowe and the Bad Pennies, and Breabach. For the line-up so far, click here.


A wealth of entertainment is featured, and as well the concerts (free on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon in the Market Square), there are ceilidhs, workshops, a guitar convention, dance displays and crafts plus a Children's Programme, free camping (for weekend ticket holders) and bus service, Jan's van, swimming pool and hot showers.

The main festival location and campsite are in the grounds of Warwick School, which contains the purpose-built Bridgehouse Theatre for intimate acoustic concerts, the Guy Nelson Hall for ceilidhs and workshops and the main marquee for larger concerts. This site also has craft stalls and on-site catering throughout the festival weekend.

Events including dance tours, mumming plays and concerts also take place in Warwick town centre which is a short walk from the festival campsite.

Day and Evening Tickets:
All evening tickets are expected to be priced at around £20/£18(concs) and £10 for kids aged 10-17yrs. Day tickets are also available. Family tickets are priced to include 2 adult tickets plus 2 or more children.

Camping
Camping is available to weekend ticket holders only and is priced at £10 per adult or £25 for a family (2 adults and 2 or more children aged 10-17yrs), or £5 for a junior.
PLEASE NOTE: the campsite opens at 10am on Friday 25th July. There is no public access before this time.
