The dates for Wakestock Abersoch (North Wales) are confirmed as Friday 4th to Sunday 6th July 2008.

Wakestock is Europe's largest wakeboard music festival with free-to-watch wakeboarding by day and music by night. Right next to the beach, as well as featuring a competition for the wakeboard title, there are live bands and DJ's for two nights.

The first acts have been confirmed as headliners Mark Ronson, Groove Armada, and The Streets, joined by Funeral for A Friend, Duffy, The Hoosiers, Happy Mondays, Young Knives, Audio Bullys - live, Hadouken, Friendly Fires, Operator Please, Royworld, Metronomy, The Dykeenies, Jazzie B, Norman Jay, Brandon Block, Genod Droog, Kickbox Riot, and Russian Dolls. Plus there will be many more. For the line-up details as available please click here.

Tickets are on sale priced at £85 for a weekend ticket or £110 for a ticket with camping and a campervan ticket costs £40. Car parking tickets are £5 per vehicle in advance or £10 per vehicle on the day. A limited number of single night tickets will be available closer to the event. To buy, click here.

Wakestock welcomes people with special needs. Please call the Wakestock Ticketline on 01758 710000 before the event to book your tickets and they will send an information pack before the event with all the details.

Note: This is a 16 or over event. Photo ID in the form of a passport, driving license, or proof of age card may be required to gain entry to the festival site, and may also be required to prove you are 18 & over to purchase alcohol. Under 16's will NOT be permitted entry to the festival site, even if an adult accompanies them.

The site overlooks Cardigan Bay and across to Snowdonia and has facilities to entertain over 10,000 people each night.

Camping
Camping is next to the festival site and is available from Thursday (from 5pm) to Sunday (until 5pm). Booking fee applies. Camping is limited so it is better to book well in advance as space runs out quickly.

Courtesy buses usually run all weekend between the music site at Penrhos, the wakeboard competitions and Abersoch, Pwllheli and Nefyn, so if you don’t want to camp you will still be able to get home if you live locally.

Wakestock is having a second Wakestock at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire in 2008 - see here for details.

More information will be here when available.
