Vintage Festival returns for a third year to Morecambe this time on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September 2015 to Morecambe’s seafront.

Line-up

The first acts confirmed are DJs Graeme Park & Dave Haslam, Tojo, Miss Mary and the Rights, Kav Kavanagh and Suzy Q, Richard Searling, Terry Jones, Steve Plumb, Eddy Edmondson, Wayne Hemingway, Fiona Smith, and local DJs from Morecambe and the surrounding areas and the Blackpool Mecca and Wigan Casino.

Tickets prices vary from from free to paid for events. The weekend’s programme will provide a free festival of entertainment for local residents and visitors to the town to experience one of the most unique places to celebrate all things vintage.

Morecambe’s seafront will provide the backdrop and be transformed into a multi-venue playground where, visitors can ‘learn the dances’, take in specially curated live performances, exclusive DJ sets, catwalk shows, vintage fashion and homewares shopping in the Vintage Marketplace, hair and beauty makeovers in the Vintage Salon, fashion parades plus art and design workshops.

There will be evocative street food, themed dining and cocktails, classic vehicles, film, classic cars, creative workshops, kid’s activities, street theatre, a vintage fairground, vintage bus tours, and more.

The Midland Hotel will play host to The Torch Club, a night of 40s glamour on the Saturday evening as well as Afternoon Teas throughout the weekend and festival activities with a twist such as the Design and Craft Market and Maker’s Workshops.

This year’s event will see the return of the Vintage Nightclubs, Dance Lessons, a Vintage Market Place, the Pooch Parade (in association with Cancer Care) and the Vintage Bike Ride along the Sea along...as well as some fabulous new attractions.

Also returning to delight the crowds is the RouteMaster Bus Bar with vinyl spinning DJ’s, The Charity Shop DJ who entertained the crowds with ‘Choose Your Cheese’ and the cheekily charming Viv the Spiv who will be gracing the promenade.

Vintage is the brainchild of designers Gerardine and Wayne Hemingway, and son Jack Hemingway.
