The Stands opened up the V Stage in the early afternoon of Sunday. The weather had held out and we were now enjoying fantastic sunshine.

The Departure proved their worth as one of the hottest new bands around at the moment, dedicating a song to another fantastic new band The Subways. The Magic Numbers got one of the biggest crowds of the weekend for their summery Beach Boys influenced melodic pop. Goldie Lookin Chain were on hand to insult your mother, call your misses a nutter and have it off with your sister. 90's one hit wonderboys The La's took the crowd through their debut album, 15 years after its release.

Jet returned after cancelling last year and got the crowd jumping enthusiastically to songs as catchy as 'Are you gonna be my girl' and 'Cold Hard Bitch'. While KT Tunstall was churning out her radio friendly singles The Zutons looked like the last really good band to perform on the main stage.

Adam Levine took the commercial bandwagon that is his band Maroon 5 and repackaged it so it sounds even more commercial. Despite injuries obtained from a Portuguese festival Ricky Wilson still managed to put his all into The Kaiser Chiefs set. Mike Skinner showed he's still the number one chav idol when The Streets took to the main stage and had to start using other peoples songs to sound half decent.

Oasis closed the 10th anniversary of the V Festival with their cover of The Who's 'My Generation' and the punters were left to battle their way out of the car park.
