It's hard to maintain an air of indie cool at a festival full of people scoring high on the indie cool scale, but tonight there is an opportunity. The Truck equivalent of the main stage stalwarts are watching Mystery Jets on the Truck Stage, the slightly more clued up are watching Regina Spektor in the Barn, but those really in the know are crammed into the tiny Lounge tent to watch highlight of the weekend, Seafood.

It's hard to believe that a band that has been on the scene for ten years is still playing stages this small, and I feel privileged to see them in such intimate surroundings. The tent is nowhere near capable of handling the crowd, and the atmosphere is, to use a cliche, electric. This is how gigs should be - small stage, no barrier, no security, and a lot of people looking after each other.

'Led By Bison' and 'Folksong Crisis' both get an outing, as does the marvellous 'Cloaking', and for thirty glorious minutes the rest of the world doesn't matter at all. I was concerned that the new bassist wouldn't yet be up to speed, but I needn't have been concerned, and the band function as a tight, cohesive unit, each song a perfectly formed grunge-pop masterpiece. Upcoming single 'Signal Sparks' is particularly great, and is not accompanied by the usual new song atmosphere downturn which often happens when bands have new material to promote.

The half hour the band are given is not even close to being enough, and demand for an encore is immense, as is the demand for that encore to include 'Porchlight'. The band oblige on the first of those counts, but not the second, due to them never being able to get to the end of 'Porchlight' whilst playing it live.

Seafood are embarking on a tour soon, and I would recommend anyone to see them, just to be reminded of how exciting live music can be. Tonight they were awesome, and if the tour is anything like this, it will be money well spent.
