This major folk arts festival is celebrating it's Ruby Anniversery this year and features a professional programme of folk and roots music, ceilidhs, international dance teams, family entertainers, workshops and Children's Festival programme which incorporates entertainment, music, puppetry, circus skills and crafts workshops.

Concert venues at the festival include a Concert Tent in a corner of the main site, an Arts Centre Marquee and Open Stage also on the main site, St Catherines Church and the village hall. They will be playing host to many well known artists such as: Rory McCloud; Flook; Martin Simpson; Andy Irvine; The Fagans(Australia); Malinky; Demon Barber Roadshow; Chris Norman Ensemble; Daily Planet; Doghouse Skiffel Group; Threlfall Ellison Edwards; Steve Tilston; FolkESTRA north; Karine Polwart; The Oxford Waits; David Francey (from Canada); Kate Burke and Ruth Hazleton (Australia); Mick Ryan and Pete Harris and many more.

In the Dance tent, Bedlam, Florida and The Woodpecker Band are just a few of the confirmed performers.

This year, Stepback Special take to the Arena Stage and there will be performances from Black Swan Rapper; North West Morris dancing from Chinewrde Morris; Cotswold dancing from Windsor Morris; Metallo Bocca – a teenage Appalachian dance team; women’s rapper team, Boojum; Ditchling Morris and Rogue Morris.

There are three festival camp sites in the village, costing £13 for 5 nights for adults and £10 for 12-17 year olds with under 12s free.
The main site is on the playing field, the same field as the Concert, Dance and Children’s event stages. It has mains toilets, water, washing facilities and showers. Vehicle parking is not allowed and it's principal camping use is for families and is a quieter area.
Site 2 is only a few hundred yards away and will accommodate cars and caravans etc. It has water, mains and re- circulating toilets and all night security. The sites are flat and suitable for disabled access.

There is an third site, particularly suited to revellers.

The camp sites are for season ticket holders only and will open at 12noon on Thursday 26th August and not before. Please do not arrive in Towersey before then.

There is a large FREE car park for day visitors, flat with access for the disabled although said to be a bit rough underfoot.
