A major folk arts festival, featuring professional programme of folk and roots music, ceilidhs, international dance teams, family entertainers, workshops and a full Children's Festival programme including entertainment, music, puppetry, circus skills and crafts workshops.

Concert venues at the festival include a Concert Tent in a corner of the main site, an Arts Centre Marquee and Open Stage also on the main site, St Catherines Church and the village hall. They will be playing host to many well known artists including: Waterson:Carthy; The Poozies; North Cregg with special guest singer Emily Smith; Shine; The Paperboys; Roy Bailey; Colum Sands; Sid Kipper; John Spiers & Jon Boden; Kirsty McGee; the Spikedrivers; Bill Caddick; Dana Robinson; The Witches of Elswick; Eileen McGann with David K; Beverly Smith & Carl Jones; Firebrand; and Uiscedwr.

On Thursday,Cubanito take to the Arena Stage with salsa music.
Throughout the festival there are performances from troupes from all over the world including: acrobatics from the Tanznian Black Eagles; Bhangra dance rhythms from Kuljit Bhamra; The Heritage of Pubjab Dance Troupe; and Irish and Appalachian music and dance from FireStone on the Arena Stage.

The festival camp sites are both in the village, and cost £12 for 5 nights for adults and £9 for 12-17 year olds with under 12s free.
The main site is on the playing field, the same field as the Concert, Dance and Children’s event stages. It has mains toilets, water, washing facilities and showers. Vehicle parking is not allowed and it's principal camping use is for families and is a quieter area .
Site 2 is only a few hundred yards away and will accommodate cars and caravans etc. It has water, mains and re- circulating toilets and all night security. The sites are flat and suitable for disabled access.
Both camp sites are for season ticket holders only and will open at 12noon on Thursday 21 August and not before. Please do not arrive in Towersey before then.

There is a large FREE car park for day visitors, flat with access for the disabled although said to be a bit rough underfoot.
