Towerfest is an annual country music festival held in the grounds of Drax Power Station, in Yorkshire. Offering festival goers the chance to relive the wild wild west for three days from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th June 2012. Three days of country music and line dancing with thirteen live acts plus DJ and Compere to keep it all in full swing. Camping and caravanning facilities available on site.

Friday: C'est La Vie, Brilliant Band, In The Club House.

Saturday: Pete Jones, Donna Wylde, The Saloon Drifters, The Van Downham Band, Settlers Creek, Raising Cain.

Sunday: Sunday Gospel Show, Carolann B, Clearwater, Dave Cash, Nancy Hays (USA), The Crown Top Kings, Arizona Storm.

Compere and DJ Nigel Green.

A Full Weekend Pass is priced at £30, a Saturday & Sunday ticket is priced at £28. A Friday Night only ticket is priced at £5.00, with a day ticket for Saturday or Sunday only are priced at £14. To download a booking form (in PDF format), click here.

This will be the sixth Towerfest festival and it becomes more and more popular each year. The festival offers a chance to join their westerners in a competitive shootout, rifle shooting, knife throwing, horse shoe throwing and much more. With all the proceeds from their events going to a nominated charity.

Before the last act on the Sunday evening the westeners march into the arena in full military uniforms to perform a traditional comemeration to the American Civil War.

Many trade stands surround the arena with authentic western goods and trinkets. The site also has a fully licensed club.

Day visitors will be made welcome on the gate Saturday and Sunday but can save money by booking in advance.
