Tapestry festival 2004

Held at an American theme park about eight miles from Newquay, this festival celebrates American folk and country music with a host of artists.

The confirmed line-up so far includes: Mungo Jerry; Alan Tyler and the Albion Rovers; Pink Grease; The Beatings; Rod Stern; Magic numbers; X Vectors; Tokyo Dragons; Country Teasers; Circulus; Kitty, Daisy, Lewis and Kurt; Chinese Burn; Part Chimp; the Flamin; Claw; and DJ sets by Rob and Karen of Sin City/Heavy Load.

The festival site consists of two towns: the law abiding and sedate, Fort Smith, where the roots and country acts reside and the simultaneously roudy, Silver City, where the louder and more lawless acts will be holed up.

There will also be a Saturday trip to Constantine Bay for coach ticket holders and a shoot-out with Sheriff JB and his posse on Sunday.
