Swn is a four day showcase of some of the best music from Wales and from around the world alongside DJs, film and art, held throughout Cardiff. The event was started by DJ Huw Stephens.

The seventh annual Swn Festival takes place in Cardiff this year across the evening of Thursday 17th October and Friday 18th October then through the days and nights of Saturday 19th October and Sunday 20th October, with over 200 bands performing.

Tickets

The early bird offer has ended. A 4-day wristband is priced at £65, a Thursday only wristband is priced at £17, a Friday only wristband is priced at £20, a Saturday only wristband is priced at £28, and a Sunday only wristband is priced at £22.

Swn Festival 2013 wristbands allow access to all Swn Festival 2013 shows, subject to capacity of individual venues. However, there are a few select headline shows that will require a Top-Up ticket as well as a Swn Festival wristband to gain entry. (Everything Everything - £2).

Wristbands

The festival uses a wristband system which offers free access to as many shows as possible, plus art exhibitions, film and more. A wristband also entitles the wearer to discounts in stores in Cardiff (to be confirmed), and free rides on the Swn buses across town over the main Swn weekend.

The event will feature bands from both Wales and across the world, as well as DJs, film and art. There will be lots of different genres from hip hop to indie, folk, dance and rock.

Other events expected at the festival include a silent disco, cinema, workshops, and art exhibitions.

Swn Festival 2013 will be hosted across various venues in and around the centre of Cardiff, including - Angel Hotel, Buffalo Chapter, Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff University Students' Union – Great Hall, Four Bars @ Dempsey's, Fuel Glam, Gwdihw, Jacob's Market, O'Neill's St Mary's Street, O'Neill's Trinity St, Sherman, St John's Church, Ten Feet Tall, The Full Moon, The Globe, The Moon Club, and Undertone.
