Sweden Rock Festival, the heavy rock festival returns to the northern town of Solvesborg in Sweden from Wednesday 12th until Saturday 12th June 2011.

Line-up

Ozzy Osbourne, Styx, Saxon, The Damned, Morbid Angel, Thin Lizzy, Rhapsody Of Fire, Joan Jett And The Blackhearts, Jason & The Scorchers, Walter Trout, Hawkwind, FM, Groundhogs, Agent Steel, Mustasch, The Haunted, Destruction, Rage (acoustic), Raubtier, The Cult, Dan Reed Network, and Fläsket Brinner are amongst the acts confirmed for 2011. Tickets

Four day tickets are priced at 2390,00 kr (approx £225). Three day tickets for June 9-11 are priced at 2290,00 kr (approx £215). One day tickets will be available at a later date. It is free entry for children under 13 years of age in the company of a guardian, although it the festival does not recommend that infants attend. To buy tickets, click here.

Camping

The camping site will again be located approximately 900 meters from the festival area, west of Norje village. The Camping sites have different zones which are divided by fire breaks. Tents are not permitted in the fire breaks and will be removed.

Note

Furniture, mattresses etc are not allowed at the camping sites, however regular fold up camping chairs are. No vehicles are allowed at the camping sites, and any kind of open fire is forbidden, there are marked areas where festival goers can cook.

Alcohol and glass bottles are only allowed outside the festival area, there are bars in the arenas. Plastic bottles must be empty when entering the area, there are water post to fill them up in the arena.

Getting there

There are charter flights, as well as rail links to Sweden. From Stockholm there are transfers to Solvesborg airport, and buses running to the festival from both the train station and the airport.
