This FREE festival features several different gigs with acclaimed national and international blues musicians playing at a variety of venues around the picturesque seaside town of Swanage, on the South West coast of England. The event takes place from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th March 2011.

All sorts of styles are represented such as acoustic, electric, rural and urban blues.

Line-up

There will be 25 Acts playing in at least 15 indoor venues, all with free admission.
Friday: Open Mic with Johnny Sharp, Se7en, Robin Bibi Band, Country Foods Kitchen, Back Porch Band, Will Killeen, Freed, The Riotous Brothers, The Jives, Robert Hokum Band, C Sharp Blues, Motel 6, Pearl Handled Revolver (replacing Saiichi Sugiyama Band), Riverside Blues Band.
Saturday: Se7en, The Barcodes, Fabulous Fezheads, Jam Session with Robin Bibi Band, Open Mic with Johnny Sharp, Back Porch Band, Paint It Blue, Saiichi Sugiyama Band, The Riotous Brothers, Se7en, Pete Harris Band, Country Foods Kitchen, Se7en, The Groundhogs Rhythm Section, The Barcodes, Will Killeen, Freezer, Coalhouse Walker Blues Band, Fabulous Fezheads, Back Porch Band, C Sharp Blues, The Mustangs, Robin Bibi Band.
Sunday: Kris Dollimore, Se7en, Saiichi Sugiyama Band, Open Mic with Johnny Sharp, Will Killeen, Robert Hokum Band, jam Session with Robin Bibi Band, Blue Touch, Dave Raphael Band, The Jawbreakers, Se7en, Back Porch Band, Festival Finale: Steve Darrington with Pete Harris Band, Blue Touch.

New venues

A new venue is Swanage Royal British Legion with a separate room with a stage and lighting etc, up the High Street just a bit further on from the Black Swan. Robert Hokum Band will be playing there on Saturday evening.

Swanage Bay View Holiday Park has a stage, dance floor, restaurant, bar with real ale, disabled toilets and access, plus a large car park. Saiichi Sugiyama Band will not be playing at the White Horse on Friday evening, but here.

There are open mic sessions every afternoon and usually a Blues Steam Train ride plus dancers, street musicians, jam sessions (Saturday and Sunday), buskers, Gospel Service, and workshops.

Accommodation

Accommodation is available from around £20 per person per night in the town itself.
