The 9th SummerTyne Americana Festival, an annual celebration of Americana music, takes place from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th July 2014 at The Sage, Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne.

The Jayhawks, Booker T. Jones, Bettye Lavette, Steven Seagal’s Blues Band, Earl Thomas, Marc Ford, Chuck Prophet and the SummerTyne Strings, John Fullbright, Sarah Jarosz, Cass McCombs, Smoke Fairies, Eve Selis, Davina & The Vagabonds, Samantha Crain, Berkley Hart, Zervas & Pepper, Gordie Mackeeman & His Rhythm Boys, The Carrivick Sisters, The Magnolia Sisters, Otis Gibbs, Davina & The Vagabonds, I Draw Slow, and Danny and the Champions of the World.

Plus: free outdoor stages, a chance to join the SummerTyne Americana Festival Choir (lead by ex Massive Attack/Phantom Limb singer Yolanda Quartey), film programme, talks & exhibitions, free showcase event in conjunction with the AMA-UK organisation, family concerts and free family activities, street food, vintage cars and much more.
