====================

Now in it's sixth year, the St Valentines Folk Festival takes place from 14th until 18th February 2008 and is organised by Sutton Park Amblers (a heritage and watchdog group), raising over £8,750 for a children's charity. Since it's inception in 2002, the festival has expanded and now runs from Thursday evening through to Sunday evening. There's lots going on including folk, blues, celtic, skiffle, sing-a-rounds, sessions, dance, a folk-walk, plus a Spoken Word concert on Saturday.

The full line-up is expected to include: Cathryn Craig & Brian Willoughby; George Papavgeris; Scolds Bridle; Belzebub; Miv Cameron Band; Bedlam; Dave Walmisley; Bob Lines; Edwards Brothers; Tony Portlock; Pete Quin; and Trefor and Vicki Williams amongst others. Further details will be published here when available.

Sutton Coldfield is on the North East edge of Birmingham with a busy high street and array of shops. There are plenty of hotels and B&Bs to choose from and Sutton Park, Europe's largest urban public park, is very close by, as is the train station, just 10 minutes from Birmingham New Street station and only 5 minutes from the festival's epicentre.
