In 2001, a large car park was available on the Western side of the monument, opening up at 8pm the night before and closing at 9am the following day..

Entertainment was provided by samba bands, drummers and fire twirlers but no amplified music was allowed.

Van loads of police were present a few fields away but generally a jovial mood prevailed. Only 5 arrests were made all in relation to minor to minor drug offences.

Toilets and drinking water were available and welfare was provided by St Johns Ambulance. There were even one or two food and drink stands with very reasonable prices, all well away from the stones themselves.

Sunrise is at about 4:50am. No one is permitted to stay after 9am.
