After the success of last year's inaugural event Maddy Prior invites everyone back to hers for this intimate festival offering a weekend of music and song to celebrate the arrival of spring.

The event takes place at Maddy Prior's house 'Stepping Stones' nr Bewcastle, in the remote Scottish Borders in Cumbria over three days this year from Friday 3rd until Sunday 5th May 2013.

The Festival will once again be based around 4 main musical concerts but there will also be a series of smaller concerts and events elsewhere within the town. A highlight of the weekend will be Maddy's original musical story of Marcus Agrippa, a Roman commander on Hadrian's Wall which she will be performing with friends and colleagues.

Tickets

Adult tickets are priced at £75 for the weekend, and £40 for children aged 12-16 years, children aged under 12 can attend free of charge. A tickets for the Friday Night Ceilidh only is priced at £10. An all day pass is priced at £45 for adults and £25 for those aged 12-16. One afternoon concert only is priced at £20, and an evening concert only ticket is priced at £25. Camping

Ticket holders wishing to secure cheap but civilised accommodation are invited to use the Irthing Vale Caravan and Camping Park which is only a 10 minute walk from the Festival site. A courtesy bus service into town will be provided. Facilities include a toilet block (the pink building) with free hot showers, a laundry room with free hot water, 3 deep sinks for washing up, and a washing machine and tumble dryer (for a small additional charge). Prices are £15 per night for 2 adults using any combination of car/ tent/caravan/motorhome, and there's a £5 discount per couple for a third night. Camping for persons aged 16 years and over is £2.50 per night. camping for those aged 6-16 years is priced at £1.50 per night, with camping for those under 6 years free. An electric hook up is available at £2 per night (free if 3 nights are booked).

On site

The on-site caterers will have a comprehensive selection of food (including vegetarian) drink and snacks on sale from early Saturday morning breakfast right through to late night snacks after each concert. There will also be a small shop on-site selling a limited range of cold fresh food and drink. The festival will also have a beer tent, craft stalls, entertainment for children, plus a play area and activities, various workshops and an open mic stage. Fees for workshops can be paid for at the Festival office during the festival.

Getting there

For those travelling by train, the nearest mainline station is Carlisle, although there are also local rail stations at Brampton (but it is a 1.5m walk from Brampton Halt into town!) or Gretna Green. If you need a taxi from a train station, Carlisle has a permanent taxi rank but you will need to pre-book a taxi at either Brampton or Gretna stations.
