On a new rural site near in Kirkwell, nearby to the Nottinghamshire market town of Southwell and on a new date in September, the 14th Gate to Southwell Festival takes place from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th September 2021.
The festival will be making itself covid safe.
Showcasing international performers of the folk scene, and local performers, with folk dances playing a big part over the weekend, there's plenty of opportunity to get involved in the workshops, ceilidhs, open mic stages and children's events.
Over 50 artists performing over 4 days on 4 main stages, on-site camping, kids activities, street theatre, comedy, spoken word and lots more.
Acts so far are Gigspanner Big Band, Spiers & Boden, The Young 'Uns, Anxo Lorenzo Band, The Breath, Imar, Chris Wood, Edgelarks, Wizz Jones, Maroon Town, Track Dogs, Talisk, Winter Wilson, The Last Inklings, Banjo Jen, Stone Jets, Jessie Reid, The Rye Sisters, and more.
