Showcasing international performers of the folk scene, and local performers, with folk dances playing a big part over the weekend, there's plenty of opportunity to get involved in the workshops, ceilidhs, open mic stages and children's events.

Procession

Southwell's fourth folk festival will coincide with the annual Gate to Southwell procession of Morris dancers to Southwell Minster from Nottingham city centre. Events are taking place at the workhouse from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th June.

Line-up

The line-up includes Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, 4 Men and a Dog, The Demon Barber Road Show, Julie Fowlis, Vin Garbutt, Rory McLeod, Tom McConville Big Band, Wheeler Street, Megson, Benny Gallagher, Cock and Bull Band, Peeping Tom, and more. For the line-up details as available please click click here. There are still more acts to be confirmed.

Around the town

In addition to performers in the main marquee, there will be an open mike session marquee, a dance display area, singarounds, and opportunities to meet the artists. There will also be workshops and sessions throughout the town, and it is hoped the Workhouse, a National Trust Property, can be used for some of these.
