The Great North Folk Festival is the name for Festival on the Moor's May Folk Weekend takes place at Botton Village, nestled in Danby Dale in the Esk Valley, and takes place from Friday 24th until Monday 27th May 2019, on the bank holiday weekend.

Expect folk acts along with traditional Morris and Sword Dance Teams.

Line-up

Confirmed acts include Alterego, Beth Burrows, Bounty Hounds, Graham Brotton & Nicky Beckitt, Boxwood Chessmen, Caim, Campbell Taylor, Paul & Liz Davenport, Paul Downes, Bob Fortune, Richard Grainger, Heather Innes & Kate Kramer, Becky Langan, Mel Langton, Flossie Malavialle and many more. Tickets are on sale, currently priced as follows:-
adult weekend: £40, camping £15 extra
concession weekend: £34, camping £15 extra
youth (10-18) weekend: £30, camping £12 extra
child (9 & under): free but needs ticket
caravan / campervan: £20 per-adult, £15 per-youth
day tickets and session tickets are also available.

The weekend also offers singarounds, craft & music workshops, and an all day acoustic programme and real ale Bar. As well as music there's historic re-enactors,childrens entertainment, traditional dance, ceilidh, festival food, real ale bar, workshops, meet the artists spots, concerts and arts & crafts on display and for sale, cd sales, and festival T-shirts.

Camping

Festival Campsite 1.2 m from Festival site (Hopper bus between site & main venue) Portable loos. Use of shower available. Part of small working farm and beautiful views of surrounding countryside.
