The Great North Folk Festival is the new name for Festival on the Moor's May Folk Weekend takes place at Botton Village, nestled in Danby Dale in the Esk Valley, and takes place from Friday 56th until Monday 28th May 2018, on the bank holiday weekend.

Line-up

Confirmed acts include Oi Dipnoi, Richard Grainger, Dave Burland & The Awkward Squad , plus Becky Langan, David Swann, Graham Brotton, Paul Lucas, Beth Burrows, The Nukes, Hawsker Village Band, and more.

The early bird offer has ended. Adult weekend tickets are priced at £50. Concessions (65 & over, unwaged, student) are priced at £45, and child tickets (for those aged 10-17 year) £20. Children 9 and under can attend free.

On site camping for adults/concessions (age 10 and over) is priced at £15.

The weekend also offers singarounds, craft & music workshops, and an all day acoustic programme and real ale Bar.

As well as music there's historic re-enactors,childrens entertainment, traditional dance, ceilidh, festival food, real ale bar, workshops, meet the artists spots, concerts and arts & crafts on display and for sale, cd sales, and festival T-shirts.

Camping

Festival Campsite 1.2 m from Festival site (Hopper bus between site & main venue) Portable loos. Use of shower available. Part of small working farm and beautiful views of surrounding countryside.
