This festival has been cancelled due to severe weather. A message on the Boardmasters website says:-
Due to forecasted severe weather conditions, specifically high winds, Boardmasters 2019 has been cancelled.
Following full consultation with all of the relevant authorities including independent safety advisors, Devon and Cornwall Police, emergency services and the Met Office, a final decision was made this evening.
The safety of you, the fans and attendees, as well as performers and crew comes first, and the potential risk is too severe for the event to go ahead at this time.
Refund advice will be shared as soon as possible - please follow Boardmasters’ social media for official updates.
We sincerely regret the disappointment to fans, and apologise for any disruption caused to local businesses, performers and crew who were looking forward to Boardmasters as much as we were.
Boardmasters takes place over five days from Wednesday 7th to Sunday 11th August 2019 at a cliff-top location overlooking Watergate Bay, and Fistral Beach.
Boardmasters is held on two sites near Newquay offering action sports including surf, skate, bmx, plus daily live music acts and the music festival.
Confirmed acts include headliners Florence + the Machine, Foals, and Wu-Tang Clan, who are joined by Giggs, Dizzee Rascal, The Wombats, Jorja Smith, Franz Ferdinand, Plan B, Razorlight, Slaves, Mabel, Bugzy Malone, Sam Fender, Rudimental (DJ Set), Wilkinson b2b Sub Focus, DJ EZ, IDLES, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Ocean Wisdom, Lewis Capaldi, and many more.

World Surf League
The surf competition will this year be included as part of the World Surf League qualifying series. Featuring as a Qualifying Series event, Boardmasters will host the Boardmasters international competitors for the Men’s Open, the Boardmasters Women’s Open and the Boardmasters Men’s and Women’s Longboard contests.
Official festival camping is situated within throwing distance of the Watergate Bay site.
