The Long Blondes

The three girls and two guys get a great reception as they take to the stage. Lead singer Kate Jackson looking cool in a stripy dress and green beret. This is image punk combined with catchy pop and clever lyrics and although the crowd clap along happily to their songs, none of which I know including the new single ‘Once And Never Again’ due out in October I just don’t get into the euphoria of it all. They get a huge cheer but the vocal sounds a little too distorted to me and I’m left feeling a bit unmoved by them live. Everyone else loves them though.
