Situated right on the coast the new Optimus Primavera Sound 2012 takes place at the Parque Da Cidade, Porto, in Portugal across four stages between Thursday 7th and Sunday 10th June 2012.

On the first and last days of the event, the 7th and 10th June, Optimus Primavera Sound will put on several free concerts in the city centre.

Line-up

The latest additions are Atlas Sound, Baxter Dury, Beach House, Bigott, Black Lips, Death Grips, Demdike Stare, Dirty Three, Erol Alkan, Esperit!, Forest Swords, Gala Drop, I Break Horses, James Ferraro, John Talabot, Lee Ranaldo, Mujeres, Rufus Wainwright, St Etienne, Shellac of North America, Sleepy Sun, Tall Firs, Tennis, The Flaming Lips, The Rapture, The War On Drugs, Thee Oh Sees, Wavves, Wolves In The Throne Room, and Yann Tiersen.

~~Björk~~ will headline with The Afghan Whigs, Beach House, Death Cab For Cutie, Explosions In The Sky, SISKIYOU, Spiritualized, The XX, Jeff Mangum, Yo La Tengo, Wilco, Codeine, Shellac, The Walkmen, Neon Indian, Washed Out, Other Lives, and Numbers Showcase: Jackmaster, Oneman, Deadboy, Spencer, Redinho also confirmed. Expect a line-up of international and local acts. The programme includes a stage hosted by All Tomorrow's Parties (ATP), and another hosting electronic sounds, and DJs as well as live acts, balancing between experimental and dance music.
