Newcastle Pride the "biggest free LGBT festival in the North East", returns as a three day again to Town Moor on Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd July 2017 in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Line-up

The announced acts include headliners A1, and Sam Bailey, as well as Angie Brown, Kelly Wilde, Steptastic, Danni Dee and the Broadway Dancers, Jason Prince, Lee Lambert, Pink Angels, Dragon & The Whale and more with many more to be announced.

On site

A number of themed entertainment zones and activities will also be open throughout the weekend, including the regular Steve Paske Health Zone (SPHZ), which has a key focus on the health and wellbeing of gender diverse communities. This year, to cope with increased demand, Northern Pride are extending the festival to include more satellite events at venues around Newcastle. The full schedule for these functions will be announced in the coming months, but they are expected to span from the start of June until the end of July.

20,000 people are expected in the Pride Parade, which starts at Newcastle Civic Centre before noon on Saturday. The parade will go through the city and end at the Town Moor, with a special candlelight vigil closing the festival on Sunday.

Friday evening will offer some main stage entertainment, Saturday will be the main Pride day, with more entertainment on Sunday .

The Times Square FREE entertainment takes place each night from 6.30pm till 10pm .

Newcastle Pride 2017 is free to attend, though a limited number of Gold Circle and VIP tickets are also available. These are priced from £12 per person and include a host of benefits such as prime viewing for live music, private toilets and faster bar access.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
