Oxjam, the biggest music festival in the UK, is a festival with a difference: thousands of events put on by music lovers – from large-scale festivals to local sponsored busks – throughout October. taking over stages, back rooms and street corners to make music and raise money for Oxfam with gigs, DJ sets, busks and much more.

Launched in 2006, the Oxjam festival has seen more than 40,000 musicians play to an audience of over 800,000 people at over 3,000 Oxjam events, raising in excess of £1.75 million to fight poverty around the world. That's enough to buy 15,000 emergency shelters; 70,000 goats or 1050 classrooms.

Line-up

A London Oxfam shop will stage a series of exclusive, intimate performances, among the books and clothing on the shop floor itself to launch the charity's month-long Oxjam music festival with 1000 events and 33 city 'Takeovers', for which the festival has become known.

The Oxfam shop in London, whose location remains a secret until the week of the gigs, will become an Oxjam shop for the week, selling the best second-hand music in the city during the day. During the evening, it will be converted into a gig venue, playing host to these intimate performances in front of a just a handful of fans lucky enough to get their hands on a ticket.

The confirmed line-up so far, with more to be added, is:
Monday 24 Sept: Graham Coxon, Theme Park (acoustic set), plus support
Tuesday 25 Sept: Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs DJ set, Breach (Aka Ben Westbeech), plus support
Wednesday 26 Sept: Lucy Rose, Kyla La Grange, plus support
Thursday 27 Sept: Hot Chip & friends including Hot Chip DJ set, The 2 Bears and special guests TBA.
