It Rains! Oxegen is hit by torrential rain but that doesnÂ’t seem to affect the mood with excitement building for another great day at IrelandÂ’s top festival.

I plan my day out to catch as much as possible so it involved a lot of running about. The first group I see is the Ting Tings in the Green Room, with them playing to a packed tent, with their extremely catchy numbers getting everyone dancing. A highlight for many.

Later, a wander across the increasingly muddy terrain brought us back to the Green Room where Delays did everything in their power to win over the crowd with their superior indie pop - and succeeded.

Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse made her detractors eat humble pie with a solid performance on the Main Stage and, as darkness descended over Punchestown, we saw cracking performances from Vampire Weekend, Hot Chip and Justice. Vampire Weekend packed out the Green Room, despite having competition from REM on the main stage.

In the Pet Sounds tent, The National continued their love affair with the Irish, while The Verve's anthem-filled show on the Main Stage sent happy punters back to the campsites. I managed to catch the start of The National (a band id been dying to see since watching their show on TV at Glastonbury), the mid-set of The Verve and to end a typically furious Prodigy set. Probably the most musically contrasting day IÂ’ve ever had at a festival but one to remember!
