This festival has been cancelled. A statement from the organisers says:-
We’re hugely disappointed to announce that we have had to make the very difficult decision to cancel this year’s Sure Big Gig and Legends in the Park.
Unfortunately we have been let down very late in the day by the act we had been working with for Legends in the Park and regrettably, despite doing everything we could to put the event on, it hasn’t been possible to find a replacement at such short notice.
We are incredibly saddened to let down all those who were looking forward to the Sure Big Gig including people who had bought tickets, the other acts who were performing, the fantastic charities we were supporting and our loyal sponsors and suppliers.
Anyone who has already bought tickets is entitled to a full refund. The ticket agent (365 Tickets) will contact ticket holders within the next fortnight with details of how to obtain a full refund (including booking fee). We would like to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
The Sure Big Gig is run by volunteers and we have never made money from the events as all profits are donated to local charities. Over the years we have raised tens of thousands of pounds for good causes in Jersey. We are especially disappointed that the event will not make a contribution this year but we’re very grateful that our headline sponsor Sure has offered to make a donation of £1,000 to each of Help a Jersey Child and Teenage Cancer Trust, Jersey Appeal on our behalf.
We will return in 2019 to celebrate the 10thanniversary of the Sure Big Gig Weekend.
Sure Big Gig Weekend is held at Howard Davis Park in Jersey, and has two separate days, Sure Legends in the Park on Friday 13th July and Sure Big Gig in the Park on Saturday 14th July.
The headliner for Sure Big Gig in the Park on Saturday has been announced as Craig David presents TS5.
More acts for Saturday are still to be revealed, along with the full line-up for Friday's Sure Legends in the Park show.
Tickets are on sale for Sure Big Gig on Saturday, priced at £39.95 for adults and youths (12-17), or £29.95 for children (5-11).
More information will be here when available.
