Founded in 2011 Alrewas Canal & Music Festival starts at 7:30pm on Friday 26th July and will run for the next two days ending after the Sunday performance at 11:30pm on the 28th July 2013.

Line-up

The first acts confirmed are The Juke Joint Jammers, and Benny Graham. In addition to Open Mic music featuring musicians from Staffordshire, the festival features a mixture of music genres that will appeal to most music fans and this year will include canal folk music. The bar in the main marquee will feature real ales from Burton Bridge Brewery at competitive prices.

Camping

No entry charge for afternoon & evening musical events. There is space for campers with caravans or tents charged at £10 for tents and £15 for caravans. The festival offers facilities for camping and moorings for visiting boats priced from free for Heritage boats to £20 for a boat that's trading at the event.

More info

The event features a full bar with competitive prices. Guest real ales from Burton Bridge Brewery at £2.50/pint. Similar prices for other drinks including lager, scrumpy cider, wines and sprits. Barbecue running with meat from our renowned local butcher Peter Coates & Son.

The charitable aim is to raise money to support the repair of the Bailey Bridges that link the village with a variety of popular walks but organisers will also share proceeds with any groups that help to run supporting activities.

The festival marquee will be located in the field near to Bagnall Lock that lies between the Jaipur Cottage Restaurant and the A513. Access to the Festival site is through the gate just opposite the restaurant car park. Parking is in the field, not the restaurant. Road access to the site – as marked by the green arrow - is on Kings Bromley Road, Alrewas just off the A513.

Turn left off the A513 if coming from the direction of King’s Bromley. If arriving from Lichfield or Burton on Trent, turn off the A38 at the Alrewas exit and follow the signs to the A513 (Kings Bromley) and take second right. The site will be seen immediately to the right.
