The inner-city music event, Electric Carnival, returns for 2011 and will bring a bigger line up, more venues, increased capacity and a brand new site layout when it comes to Birmingham on Saturday 4th June.

Line-up

The first confirmations include Example, Professer Green, Chase & Status (DJ Set), Annie Mac, Sub Focus (Live), Yasmin (Live), Dubfire, Chuckie, Benga, Martin Solveig - Beardyman (Live), Marco Carola, Jack Beats, DJ Fresh, Zinc, Kissy Sell Out, Danny Byrd, Breakage, DJ Ez, Ramadanman, Edu Imbernon, Funtcase & Cookie Monsta, Bar 9, Reso, Bare Noize, Heartless Crew, Loadstar ft Texas &Ikay, Burns, Carlo Lio, Micky Slim, and more.

The music event returns to the UK's second city bringing 80-plus live acts and freshest DJs from around the world to over 9,000 people with live and DJ performances covering House, Electro, Drum n Bass, Dubstep, Techno, Breaks, Funky, Hip Hop, Rock, Pop, Soul, R&B, Electroclash, Funky, Garage and more in the city takeover across 20 different area's.

Held within a wide variety of Birmingham's venues and architectural spaces, half of the Digbeth entertainment district is cornered off from the public for one night only incorporating all of the cities nightspots which are accessible with one ticket; namely the HMV Institute, Entire Custard Factory, Arts & Media Quarter, Digbeth Carpark, Air Nightclub and the Rainbow Complex.

The 2011 site includes two outdoor Marquee Venues, a state of the art Live Music Venue (5 rooms), two Industrial Warehouse Spaces, a Nightclub (3 rooms), an 18th Century Victorian Pub, Victorian Pub Terrace, Garden Terrace, an Art Gallery, a 17th Century Listed Chapel, two sets of Railway Arches, and Man Made Lake Installations.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
