Stereophonics @ Cardiff City stadium 2010

Welsh rock band, the Stereophonics have announced plans to play the very first concert at the new 32,000 seater Cardiff City stadium, on Saturday 5th June 2010.

The stadium was officially opened in July, last year, and this will be the first rock concert to be held at the ground. "We want to make it a day to make Welsh people proud," said frontman Kelly Jones. "We will be the first band to play the stadium and we love breaking in venues, even dating back to 1993, being the first band to play the Ivy Bush in Cwmaman!"

Support acts have not yet been announced.
