Falkirk Wheel Festival is the first of a series of events planned to be held at the Falkirk Wheel on the basin of the Forth and Clyde Canal. This inaugural event takes place on Saturday 30th October from 8pm-12pm.

Line-up

Local band The Ray Summers will be headlining and a great selection of supports to be announced in coming weeks.

Lead guitarist Dougie from the band commented "We've not played a big show in Falkirk for absolute ages so when we heard that a big event was being organised at The Falkirk Wheel we were delighted to be asked to play. We've played all over the country but nowhere quite like The Falkirk Wheel. We're sure it will turn out to be a really cool place to do a gig. Quite fancy playing a wee acoustic show on the Wheel itself!"

Tickets

Tickets are priced at £7. To buy tickets (when available) click here.

Fancy dress

As the event is very close to Halloween fancy dress is more than encouraged.

Getting there

The Falkirk Wheel is accessible from either Falkirk Grahamston or Falkirk High Station. There are taxi ranks at both stations and it is only a short ride to The Falkirk Wheel.

Alternatively First Bus No 3 Red Line runs every 15 minutes from stops close to both stations.

Future plans

This first year will be a trial event held inside, next year will have outside stage and indoor stage and other entertainment.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
