African Beats Camp Day (ABCD) is a celebration of traditional West African music and dance held on Saturday 5th June 2010 at Meadow Valley Farm, Nash Road, Thornborough in Buckinghamshire.

Line-up

The acts include Africa Junction, Sankofa, Mpe-asem, Surahata (Sura) Susso, Tanante, Djembe Djinns, Mockoulo, Su Hart, Waaw Waaw Sabar, Modou Diouf, Diene Sagna, Batch Gueye, Seckou and Sura, Nansady & Funkama, and Hamana Bjemakan. Expect a line-up of African artists and groups, alongside audience participation workshops with African singing and dancing.

Tickets

Tickets An all day adult ticket is priced at £30 with a child ticket priced at £10, with workshops addition priced at £15 for adults, £10 for children. An evening only adult ticket is priced at £18, with a child ticket priced £5. To book tickets, which are non-refundable, click here.

Workshops

Advanced booked workshops will be held in marquees. Workshops include Djembe, Djembe Soloing for Dance, Sabar, Sabar Dance, Balafon, Kids Drumming.

Camping

Camping is available on Saturday night (and optional Friday) in a large camping field with showers and toilets. Camping on Friday 4th is priced at £5for adults and £2.50for children.

On site

The Big Barn, adjacent to the field, will house the indoor stage, licensed bar, cafe and stalls.
