The Chesterfield Arts and Market Festival, is now in its sixth successful year, and runs over October half term, from Thursday 29 to Saturday 31 October 2009 at various venues in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

Some of the Festival's events include:

The Pomegranate Theatre is also featuring Ha Ha Hamlet, Shakespeare's tragedy re-written as a comedy, and a children's show, Spooky Mansion – just the thing for Hallowe'en. The Winding Wheel is playing host to Alexander O'Neal and Heatwave in Boogie Nights and the Chesterfield Philharmonic Choir and the East Midlands Community Gospel Choir are performing in the Parish Church.

The Chesterfield Lantern Parade takes place on the 31st October and starts from the Crooked Spire Church at 6pm.

There are lots of other events on during the festival, including general markets, flea market and a continental market, lectures, a children's show at the library, a sausage competition and much more.

The festival does not offer dedicated camping, however there are plenty of accommodation options in and around Chesterfield.
