Settle Community Festival in tandem with Settle Cycling Festival takes place from Friday 26th until Sunday 28th September 2008 with music over two stages, and there are also community events all week.

Music will be on the main stage, and a secondary entertainment space there will be a full day of programmed entertainment from local and regional artistes, and community groups.

Friday 26th September
MAIN STAGE: Willfull Missing, In Vino Veritas, Inego, Myth Of Unity.
MARQUEE: John Herring, Andy Hill, The Medicine Band, Toxteth Rebel DJ Set.

Saturday 27th September
MAIN STAGE: T-Spoon, Ice Band, Rinkadon, Say The Band, Daniel Orlick, Caroline Owen, Kinch UK, Manyanas, Basphelt.
MARQUEE: Steve O'Donoghue, Jealous Of Girls, Day Breakers Band, Moral Soul, Onion The Band, The Valkyries, Toxteth Rebel Alliance DJ Set, Death To The Ghosts, King Kayak, Spit Like This.

Sunday 28th September
MAIN STAGE: Shimeon, Holly Burton, Dave Abbott, China White, Little Volcanos, The Carletons, International One.
MARQUEE: Tea for One, John Dorr, Crazy Daze Music, Daniel Orlick, The Grande Parade, The Harks, Mr. Derry.

As well as music, there will be cycling, flags, community groups, displays, stalls, art, and activities. The community events planned to appeal to all ages at fringe events around this family orientated festival include:
Sunday 14th September
Start of local cycling activities with Charity Triathlon.
Friday 19th September
The Settle Flags go up.
Saturday 20th September
Flag Master Class in Settle Parish Church between 10-4pm with entertainment by Settle Voices from 2-3pm. A Decorated Letter Workshop in St John's Church 10 – 12noon. Guided walks by Friends of Settle-Carlisle in aid of Air Ambulance. At Victoria Theatre the ensemble group, Miscellany for an evening of songs and comic entertainment. Settle Social Club hosts the Three Peaks Folk Club, led by folk duo Keeper's Fold will meet for a singaround session. This will commence at 8.30pm and is an evening of free entertainment with everyone invited to join in and sing.
Sunday 21st September
An afternoon tea dance at Langcliffe Institute between 2.30-4.30.
Monday 22nd September
A free singing workshop with Settle Voices will take place at Friends Meeting House. Open to all this will run from 1-3pm.
Tuesday 23rd September
'Take Three Chefs' cookery demonstration featuring local chefs will take place at Victoria Theatre. The evening will commence at 7.30pm and tickets cost £5.
Wednesday 24th September
The John Godber modern classic play, 'Bouncers' will be staged at Victoria Theatre by Reform Theatre This will commence at 8pm. Tickets cost £8 and £6. Further details and tickets are available from the box office on 01729 825718.
Friday 26th September
Public Community Art Display and The Settle Cycling Festival commences. Band in The Talbot Arms.
Saturday 27th September
Market Square fun including fancy dress, cycling, arts and music events (see above) in and around the Market Place, from 10am until 10pm. Cycling events are aimed at Family ability, although some can be geared more to advanced level. Activities include Trail quest / Geo Cache / Treasure Hunt; Roller Racing; Family Ride Out; Charity Mass Participation Ride; Guided Rides of Settle Loop; Settle-Carlisle Rail/Rides; Forest of Bowland Rides; Bike Hire; Cycling Clown; Theatre on a bike; Unicyclist; History of Cycling; Disabled Cycling; Musical Bikes; Bicycle powered woodturner; Cycling Films; Bike Doctors; Bike Stalls; Children's decorated bicycle parade (adults also allowed). Plus stalls, displays, climbing wall, and a workshop.
Sunday 28th September
Events in the market place – as above 10am – 10pm, musical and artistic acts all day, 3 Peaks Cycle Race, green talks at The Quaker Meeting House 2pm—6pm, a special Churches Together Service at St John's Church at 6.30pm.
Wednesday 1st October
Northern Chamber Orchestra, Nicholas Ward, director and violin, Raphael Wallfisch, cello from 7.30pm Victoria Theatre Tickets: £12 balcony, £10 stalls, £6 students and claimants.
