=========================

Song07 is a brand new singer songwriter festival for an audience of 10,000, which will take place (subject to licence) in the Pennine hills near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. It's being organised by experienced music industry professional Simon Foster, and David Stead, the drummer from The Beautiful South.

The festival is aimed at music lovers of all ages, individuals, couples and families, who want to see some of the worlds finest singer songwriting musicians at a safe people friendly festival, "free from war and hatred. Our arms are open to people of any nationality, colour, creed or religion".

A number of acts are confirmed for the Saturday and Sunday, including The Proclaimers, Paul Brady, Duke Special, Levellers, Calexico, Cara Dillon, Badly Drawn Boy, Nizlopi, Seth Lakeman, Thea Gilmore, Nick Harper, and many more - see here for the details available to date.

Music will come from an open-air Main Stage where the more mainstream acts will perform, a 2000 capacity tented second stage with an acoustic flavour throughout the daytime, and a 1000 capacity tented third stage/bar with acts programmed by Leicester's Songclub.

As well as the music, there'll be camping available (opening 8am on the Saturday, closes noon on the Monday), real ales, festival food and family fun.
