The seventh annual Grassroots Festival takes place on Sunday 19th August at Pearson Park. The event will run from 12 noon until 6pm, with free admission for everyone.

This year Grassroots extends to five music stages: World Music Stage, the Full Flava hip-hop stage and breakdancing ring; the Funkywormhole Soundsystem; the Media Van Young Band Stage; and the Lamp Acoustic Stage. Additionally there are five festival tipis, and a Summer Food café, plus brand new for 2007, festival music screenings in the Hull Film marquee.

The following artists are announced in the line up so far: La Cédille; Koshka; The Sorry Loves; Gul Naz; and 7 Hertz, with more to be confirmed.

Other attractions include: fire-eating, juggling, stilt-walking, breakdancing, rap battling, beat boxers, tricking and a Chinese dragon dance.
